Ryan Friedman is a 2023 graduate from Stetson University in DeLand, FL. He grew his passion for sports writing when injuries abruptly prevented him from continuing his athletic career. Born and raised in Maryland, Ryan grew up a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan, even joining Baltimore’s Marching Ravens for his first season in 2024. He ultimately strives to write professionally for an NFL club, preferably in Baltimore.

While attending college at Valdosta State University, he was exposed to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which seeded his desire to learn more about UFC as a whole. He also enjoys attending baseball games with his brother and family, as sports were originally found through his brother’s initial interests in football and baseball.

Arin Lau grew up in the Bay Area and roots for the San Francisco Giants and the Golden State Warriors. On occasion, she also enjoys watching tennis, Formula 1, the Premier League, and rugby. In 2025, she graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a Bachelor’s degree in communication and contributed to the school newspaper, the Daily Nexus. Since her semester abroad at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), she has been fascinated by all levels of baseball and softball internationally. Additionally, she’s a fan of Hong Kong’s entertainment industry, runs an Instagram account filled with all her favorite topics, and is a creative writer.
