AAA Mega Champion vs. Danhausen: Why the End of The Judgement Day is Approaching in 2026

Last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw saw another evolution in the rivalry between The Judgement Day and Danhausen. Danhausen first debuted on WWE at Elimination Chamber earlier in the year and was met with an underwhelming response online and at the premium live event. He completely turned his WWE career around 48 hours later when he made his Monday Night Raw debut backstage while talking with Raw general manager Adam Pearce. While the newcomer was presenting the Raw GM a list of “demandhausens”, Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh, and then-WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio tragically walked in their direction. Pearce would find his way out of the conversation by forcing the stable to welcome Danhausen into Monday Night Raw. Bálor would show early signs of his eventual face turn and exit from The Judgement Day. McDonagh was still unrecognizable to the newcomer. Mysterio would unfortunately mistreat ‘Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil’, seeing the evil side play out after Danhausen introduced “The Curse” to the WWE Universe in grand fashion. ‘Dirty Dom’ would defend his Intercontinental Championship against Penta while still cursed. The two would have an incredible match before Penta came out on top as the new Intercontinental Champion. ‘Cero Miedo’ is still holding that title as of today.

Danhausen was able to show his comedic brilliance and god-like superpowers in a matter of 90 seconds, winning over the WWE Universe by the following episode of Friday Night SmackDown. “The Curse” has since been the most inevitable thing in WWE. It has helped him win the few wrestling matches he’s had in WWE. Wrestlers like Kit Wilson and The Miz haven’t had any success since getting cursed. The Original El Grande Americano was cursed so hard he turned back into Chad Gable. Grayson Waller has been cursed off television since his backstage interaction with WWE’s new mascot, and Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were, unintentionally, cursed out of WWE entirely. “The Curse” has even seen its powers succeed outside WWE, helping sports teams like the New York Knicks win the 2026 NBA Championship and Spain win the 2026 World Cup. This has helped him gain worldwide popularity across different fan bases outside WWE.

The rivalry between The Judgement Day and Danhausen reignited last month. Liv Morgan went to the WWE mascot’s backstage lab and asked him to curse Oba Femi in his King of the Ring Semifinals matchup against Mysterio. ‘Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil’ gave out another list of “demandhausens”, but before he could finish, Morgan left the lab. The AAA Mega Champion, Mysterio, and McDonagh would later show up at the lab with $100,000 in order to convince Danhausen to curse Femi, but WWE’s mascot would refuse to curse ‘The Ruler’ and disappeared with all the money. Femi would annihilate both male Judgement Day members and eventually won the King of the Ring Tournament.

The Judgement Day would continuously demand ‘Mr Very Nice, Very Evil’ for the $100,000 over the next few weeks, but he already spent the money on his lab and experiments. Both male Judgement Day members would vow to give Danhausen payback. The AAA Mega Champion would dodge “The Curse” and let McDonagh take the curse in its entirety. They responded by trashing the lab, stealing his gifted New York Knicks jersey, and verbally and physically assaulting Danhausen. ‘Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil’ would curse ‘Dirty Dom’ again during last week’s Intercontinental Gauntlet match to determine Penta’s next opponent at SummerSlam, causing Mysterio to lose the match yet again.

This would even play out at Night of Champions, where Danhausen interrupted Morgan’s entrance to the ring in her Queen of the Ring Tournament Finals matchup against Iyo Sky. The Women’s World Champion would get cursed just before the matchup, which played a role in Sky getting crowned the 2026 Queen of the Ring Winner. Morgan would berate WWE’s mascot over the next several weeks. It reached a boiling point last night where, during a matchup between Mysterio and Joe Hendry, she’d punch Danhausen during his curse windup, causing ‘Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil’ to leave the match temporarily. It would climax when WWE’s mascot drove out in his “mobilehausen” with Sky to attack the Women’s World Champion ahead of their bout at SummerSlam. Danhausen would hit a Danhausen Death Drop on ‘Dirty Dom’ while the referee was distracted, ultimately helping Hendry win the bout.

It’s clear that Danhausen is going to win the match. WWE creative seems to be all-in on their new mascot. ‘Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil’ has gained a status in WWE so many wrestlers dream of having, as he appears to be nearly untouchable, unbeatable, and loved by all. A loss wouldn’t kill any of his momentum, but it would sure ruin some of the aura he’s obtained over the past several months. He has been The Judgement Day’s kryptonite since his WWE debut. Danhausen has already shown himself to be a catalyst for ending stories; we’ve seen that with Bálor’s departure from The Judgement Day, Miz’s failed attempt at grooming Wilson to become the next big WWE star, and even the end of The New Day in WWE. It also makes sense for The Judgement Day to finally break up. The stable has run its course so many times but has found ways to stay relevant and feel fresh for a momentary time. That hasn’t been the case since ‘Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil’s’ debut.

How Danhausen’s going to win seems to be the better question. WWE’s mascot teased the help of a big cat at this past Saturday Night’s Main Event, which turned out to be NBA Champion Karl-Anthony Towns. The Knicks’ starting center would chokeslam McDonagh and Mysterio to help WWE’s mascot win his match at Madison Square Garden. Could WWE use this to bring back a wrestler who has been out injured or on an extended absence from the company? ‘Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil’ has also utilized “The Curse” to help win matches. Even the failed attempts work in his favor. Could he find a way to curse the entire Judgement Day and turn stablemates on each other? Roxanne Perez has teased a potential face turn over the past few weeks, and she’ll benefit the most once the stable disbands. Raquel Rodriguez is scheduled to take on Sol Ruca on the next episode of Raw for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Any outcome from that match could justify Rodriguez’s turn on Morgan, who has “accidentally” screwed Perez and ‘Big Mami Cool’ from winning their matches. It only makes sense for Danhausen to get a victory over Mysterio.
