Can ‘El Niño Problema’ Continue His Dominant Run in the UFC?
Raul Rosas Jr. has become one of the most exciting rising stars in the UFC. The 21-year-old came in as a teenager and has surprised the crowd with his wide array of skills time and time again. He is set to fight Rob Font at UFC 326, which will be an absolute battle. There is a lot of hype around the young star, but Font is a seasoned veteran. This may be El Niño Problema’s toughest test yet.
Raul’s career so far has been extremely impressive. He scored his contract through Dana White’s Contender Series, and from there, he skyrocketed. His first win was monumental as he took down Jay Perrin with an opening-round submission. The young star showed fierce aggression with lots of pressure and submission techniques. This grabbed the fans’ attention immediately. Where he showed some weakness was in his only loss to Christian Rodriguez. Nevertheless, this showed an opportunity to learn, especially as a young fighter. Since then, he has scored four consecutive victories and plans to keep rolling through his opponents. Facing Font will be a challenge, but one that he is ready for. Rosas is known for his hardcore training, specifically in stamina training. The young fighter has incredible amounts of energy. He has an elite level of striking, which Rosas often lacks. Font, at 38 years old, has much more experience in the Octagon. Rosas will most likely look to take Font to the ground as quickly as possible. Avoiding strikes from Font will be ideal, and unfortunately for him, Rosas’ ground game is far better than his. This will be an extremely exciting fight.
A win here will push Rosas into the ranking. Then, he will be considered a real contender rather than just a rising young prospect. He has stacked up impressive wins and has no intentions of slowing down. He brings a new hype to the UFC, especially as he is only 21 years old. The fans are excited to see what he can pull off in this fight. While also ready to see where he goes in the future.
