Can the 2026 New York Giants Remain Undefeated at MetLife?

NFL

The New York Giants are 3-1-1 in 2026. They have fought hard to reach the top of their division for the first time since 2015. The last time this happened, Big Blue made the playoffs. New York has remained undefeated at their home stadium so far this season. They may be able to keep that winning streak going, even as their schedule begins to harden.

Their offensive line has been doing everything it can to move the ball down the field. Their starting quarterback, Jameis Winston, has had plenty of ups and downs this season, but his best work has been getting his team fired up so they can keep moving. This 32-year-old veteran has done a lot of play calling, but with the Giants, he finally seems to have found his rhythm. Winston has connected with players such as Malik Nabers, Malachai Fields, and Cam Skattebo, whom the 32-year-old quarterback often gives the ball to in the run game, which has been New York’s biggest strength during game time. All areas where the team can keep moving and communicate with each other about what they are going to do to get the points on the board.

New York also has a decent kicker, Dominic Zvada, who has made nearly every kick when the Giants bring out the special teams for the extra point or field goal. He's been very consistent and can kick as far as the 56-yard line. This undrafted rookie only began to struggle in Week Four against the Commanders. Zvada missed three kicks, but only because of the weather in Washington. The 22-year-old has already proven himself a good kicker in John Harbaugh's eyes.

Big Blue's defensive line is also moving up to a top-tier level. This team has sacked multiple quarterbacks this season and continues to put pressure on their opponents' offenses. Despite a handful of players being out on the defensive front, they have still found a way to make plays. They don’t rely on one person to stop opponents; it takes several. Abdul Carter and Arvell Reese have been two of the top guys to prove to their team they can get the job done, so the offense can return to putting points on the board.

The Giants spent much of this offseason fixing what was broken. The team and coaches addressed holes in the defensive line and made sure New York isn’t running the same plays over and over again. These were some of their biggest weaknesses when former head coach Brian Daboll and former offensive coordinator Mike Kafka ran the team. Since Harbaugh stepped in, his coaches have made sure their players are in the right mindset to win in the Meadowlands. So far, the Giants have been in a good spot at home with his leadership. Hopefully, it will stay this way for the rest of the season while they play in the Meadowlands.
