Cardinals Quarterback Breaks NFL Record in Blowout Loss Against 49ers

NFL

The Cardinals played the San Francisco 49ers today, and things did not go to plan for the Cardinals. From start to finish, that game was hard to watch for Cardinals fans. On the first play, the 49ers returned the kickoff all the way to the red zone. This return defined the rest of the game. It was an absolute massacre. There were very few positives about this game, and this game defined how this season has been as a whole. Even though the Cardinals lost, Jacoby Brissett played great.

Jacoby Brissett Breaks Record

Jacoby Brissett has done a phenomenal job backing up. Kyler Murray this season. Although he has not won as much as he has wanted to, he has put the Cardinals in positions to win in every game he has played. Today against the 49ers, Brissett had 57 passes and completed 47 of them. If 47 completions sounds like a lot, that is because it is. He broke the single-game regular season record of completions with his 47. Jared Goff had held the record previously with 45 completions in one game against the Bucs in 2019. Jacoby Brissett had 452 passing yards and two touchdowns. His performance was not flawless, though, as he had two interceptions. Jacoby Brissett had a terrible game for the Cardinals seems hopeful to Cardinals fans. It seems like Jacoby Brissett could be the future for Arizona.

At this point, Cardinals fans are disappointed but not surprised. Cardinals fans expected the 49ers to win today. However, Cardinals fans can rest easy knowing that they have a quarterback who puts his team in a position to win. Jacoby Brissett seems to be the future in Arizona. It was nice for Cardinals fans to see something that was promising for the future for once.
