Crunch Time in the Northwest: Seattle Eyes a Statement Win Over Houston
As we get closer and closer to the halfway point of the season. Most teams have had their ups and downs week by week. Some games have been total upsets, while others have been either nail-biters or flat-out washouts. This matchup has a bit more of an even playing field compared to others. Seattle takes on Houston following Monday, with both teams trying their best to seize every optimistic opportunity they can, regardless of how much time they have left in the season. There may be more than 10 weeks left, but that clock is ticking down faster than some might think.
There is a sense of urgency, especially with some key players still out due to injuries, as Seattle must pick up the missing pieces to fill the gaps. Much like many other points in the season, this game could be a game-changer or a total disaster for Seattle, depending on the choices the players make on the field. As well as what the coaching staff can come up with to figure out the perfect formula. As for what that ideal formula could even be, well, there could be a lot of different factors in play here.
One of those factors could be how Seattle has been improving their sack stats over the past six weeks, along with the fact that they were able to have Jaxon Smith-Njigba at one of the highest spots overall in the NFL. That total is currently over 690 with an average of more than 16 yards per catch. A rhythm that has been able to help keep Njigba steady in his career up until this point. With this strength in mind, Seattle will hopefully be able to match up and overtake Houston come following Monday as long as they can keep up with Njigba’s spark going forward, while also not making too many silly mistakes that could also add up out there on the field. With the right amount of talent and energy, this game could be one to remember this season. By Tuesday morning, we will know which side will come out on top.
