Dolphins Release Injury Report Ahead of Week Four Matchup with the Jets
With three days to go until the Miami Dolphins’ Monday Night primetime matchup against the New York Jets, the team has released its initial injury report outlining who is, and isn’t, practicing. The Dolphins enter Week Four with their backs against the wall after an 0-3 start that has left fans frustrated and the futures of several players and coaches in question. They’ll be looking to have all hands on deck in search of a much-needed win. Adding to the spotlight, Miami will debut its new NFL Rival jerseys. The league introduced this series to celebrate and strengthen the connection between teams, their local communities, and the intensity of divisional rivalries. Each team will showcase the jersey at one home game per season over three years. In a new drip and desperate for a victory, here’s a look at the Dolphins’ latest injury report.
The Dolphins listed two players who did not practice on Thursday. Both players have been key contributors to an already thin secondary. Storm Duck and Jason Marshall Jr. Duck, an undrafted free agent from the 2024 class, went down in Week One against the Colts and have missed the past two games. Marshall, a fifth-round pick out of Florida, exited last week’s matchup against the Bills with an injury and is at risk of missing Miami’s Week Four showdown with the Jets.
On the positive side, Jaylen Waddle, who suffered a minor shoulder injury in Week Two against the Patriots, logged a limited practice on Thursday. He followed the same pattern last week before facing the Bills, where he suited up and posted five catches for 39 yards, scoring a touchdown for the second straight game. Another notable addition to Thursday’s limited participants was tight end Darren Waller. Acquired via trade this offseason after announcing his return from retirement, Waller has yet to take a snap for Miami. The former Pro Bowler could provide a much-needed boost to the Dolphins’ passing attack, especially against a Jets defense that has allowed 15 receptions, 104 yards, and a touchdown to opposing tight ends this season. With both teams sitting at 0-3, Miami will need all hands on deck when they host their division rivals under the Monday night lights.
