First Ever WWE Evolve Women's Champion Has Been Crowned
History was made tonight as Kali Armstrong defeated Kylie Rae, Kendal Grey, and Wendy Choo in a Fatal Four-Way Elimination match to become the first-ever WWE Evolve Women’s Champion. The championship was first introduced by Evolve Prime Minister, Stevie Turner three weeks ago. The four women in this match have stood out ever since the introduction of WWE’s newest brand. However, it is Armstrong, who was the betting favorite, that has cemented herself in the record books and her star is only going to get brighter.
The match started with Grey and Armstrong going after each other as well as Choo and Rae doing the same, all four women have had an issue with each other one way or another. Once that was settled each woman got a chance to show off their offense. A series of double pins, takedowns, and high-flying moves got the crowd out of their seats. The first elimination occurred when Armstong hit the Kali Connection on Choo and then Rae superkicked her in the face to eliminate her rival from the match. Rae and Grey then tried to work together to eliminate Armstrong, but they were overpowered by the pure dominance of the Inglewood, CA native. Grey was able to turn the corner using her amateur wrestling background to neutralize her opponents. The Las Vegas native aimed to eliminate her rival, Armstrong, by making her tap out to an arm bar submission. However, Rae was able to roll up Grey from behind to get the second elimination of the match.
It was now down to Kylie Rae and Kali Armstrong to determine the first WWE Evolve Women’s Champion. Armstrong tried to use her power on Rae, but the 12-year veteran was able to slip out on multiple occasions to score a few near falls. However, Rae’s luck ran out as Armstrong was able to escape multiple submissions and was able to hit the Kali Connection to score the historic pinfall. Big Body Kali has now etched her name in the history books. Ever since Evolve started the women’s division has been at the forefront, and now Armstrong, who is still undefeated in singles action, is crowned as the face and leader of the Evolve Women’s Division.
