Future Hall of Fame Quarterback Moves up in the Top 10 QB Rankings

NFL

When the Steelers signed veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers in June, many people were skeptical. They wondered how well the 41-year-old would play. Rodgers proved that he still has a great arm and a sharp mind. Rodgers’ impressive performance this season has helped him climb ahead in quarterback rankings.

Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports released his Week 10 quarterback rankings list. Rodgers moved up one spot to number eleven. Benjamin wrote, “The most underrated story of the 2025 season? Probably Rodgers’ quiet composure to elevate a long-stale Steelers attack. He could still use more consistent help, but the 41-year-old is firing it with sharpness.”

Nick Shook of NFL.com published his updated quarterback rankings on November 6th. Rodgers jumped six spots to number ten. Shook wrote, “Aaron Rodgers looks pretty darn good at 41 years old, folks. The numbers might not jump off the page, but he has full command of Arthur Smith's offense and is still showing the arm talent that placed him on a path to Canton years ago.”

Rodgers’ teammates speak highly of him. Steelers wide receiver Ben Skowronek appeared on the 102.5 WDVE Morning Show during training camp. He discussed Rodgers, remarking, “I just think we’re laser focused. We’re locked in and we’re confident. When you have a guy like that under center who’s a four-time MVP…he’s a genius on the field.” In August, Steelers tight end Jonnu Smith spoke to the media about Rodgers. Smith said, “He’s gonna go ahead and get his gold jacket whenever that time comes…This guy’s been in training camp for 20 years. The knowledge that he has, the things that he’s seen. He saw everything. He’s got all the answers to the test.”

In September, Rodgers became the first Steelers quarterback in franchise history to throw four touchdown passes in his debut game. He’s the first Steelers quarterback since Ben Roethlisberger to throw four touchdowns in one regular-season game. Rodgers had 1,692 yards and 17 touchdowns during the 2025 season. This season, Rodgers surpassed Ben Roethlisberger on the NFL’s all-time passing list. Rodgers is in fifth place for career passing yards. He has amassed 64,644 yards. Rodgers also surpassed his former teammate Brett Favre’s career touchdown pass record. Rodgers is in fourth place with 520 passing touchdowns.
