Has WWE Fumbled ‘The Juggernaut’ in 2026?
Over the past few years, NXT has produced top talent that has made a name for themselves in the Women’s Division. Superstars such as Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer have gone on to dominate on the main roster and captured world titles. Unfortunately, this is not the case for all the callups, and one of the superstars that hasn’t quite made an impact yet since being called up is ‘The Juggernaut’ Jordynne Grace. Ever since she signed with WWE, Grace seemed destined to be a key player on the main roster, but her booking in NXT and on the main roster has seen her stock decrease over time.
Grace made her first appearance in front of the WWE Universe in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match in 2024. At the time, she was still signed with TNA and entered the match as the TNA Knockouts Champion. Although she failed to make an elimination, her strength and power wowed the audience. She once again made an appearance in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, this time as a member of the NXT roster. This time, Grace was able to score an elimination in the match. Grace competed in multiple championship matches during her time in NXT, displaying her raw power and athletic ability. However, Grace was unable to win a single title in NXT before being called up to SmackDown.
Seeing Grace getting called up to the main roster was certainly an interesting choice, considering the fact that she left NXT empty-handed. Many fans wished she could’ve held on to gold in NXT, but seeing her finally make her way to SmackDown was a welcoming decision. Also, Grace’s theme song had changed during her run in NXT. Her TNA theme song started with a police siren going off, followed by rock music that was hard to forget. This music was replaced with a generic spoken intro followed by the usual Def Rebel generic music. Her new theme song was received with boos from the NXT crowd, with “Fire def rebel” chants filling the venue. Grace was walking into the main roster with little to show for her time on NXT and generic music that would make fans question who was even making their entrance. Once she finally arrived on SmackDown, Grace did show some promise but ended up on the shelf after suffering an ankle injury during a WWE Main Event taping. Although Grace has recovered from her injury, she has failed to make an appearance on multiple episodes of SmackDown. She’s even gone on to lose multiple times on Main Event. Her booking is certainly questionable, and it leaves the question as to whether or not WWE even had a plan for her on the main roster.
Grace could easily be running the Women’s Division on SmackDown as its top champion, but WWE hasn’t seemed to figure out how to use Grace’s strengths to her advantage. Grace wasn’t even added as a participant in the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament, where Grace could’ve easily been used to showcase her talent. Although she hasn’t been on the main roster for a long time, WWE needs to act quickly with her, or she will become another failed call-up from NXT. If WWE somehow fails to capitalize on Grace, then maybe the fans who thought her call-up was early may have been right all along.
