Looking at a Rookie That the Giants Should Want in the 2026 NFL Draft
The Giants have a lot of rebuilding to do ahead of the 2026 season. Management needs to take the time and figure out what they really want for next season. Despite finding a new head coach, the team needs players who can make the plays happen and find the routes on the field. This past season was a struggle because the Giants' stars, wide receivers Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo, were both out. They had wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson in for the season, and he did fantastic. He broke 1,000 yards during this season alone. However, he has entered free agency, and the Giants need someone to replace him. At the moment, many fans are hoping the Giants pick up Arizona State's Sun Devils wide receiver Jordyn Tyson.
Tyson has been a standout player at Arizona for the last two seasons that he has been there. As a freshman, he started at the University of Colorado Boulder. He was a leader of the team while he was there, with 22 catches for 470 yards and a total of five touchdowns. He transferred to Arizona State, where he continued his legacy of 61 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns. In December of this year, he declared for the 2026 NFL Draft and is projected to be a top pick.
He has been a consistent big-play receiver in college. He topped well over 1,000 yards in 2024 and contributed solid numbers in the 2025 season. Tyson finished his college career with over 2,200 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns. This young wide receiver would be a perfect fit for the Giants and would help with the team's rebuild. Tyson actually played with current Giants running back Cam Skattebo for two seasons before they both made their way to the NFL. Having the two of them play together again would be electric on the field. The Giants need to plan their strategy for picking him for the 2026 NFL Draft. Having him work with them would definitely put the Giants back on the upside of the NFL map, then down as they have been for the last few seasons.
