Monday Night Raw June 8th, 2026: What Went Down in Paris?

The WWE European tour has been going on for the past couple of weeks. Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw wraps up the tour in Paris, France. The fans brought electricity and an atmosphere that only dedicated wrestling fans could bring. The episode started with a recap of the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments, highlighting the winners and storylines coming out of each tournament. Shortly after, Oba Femi came out to a thunderous Parisian crowd that was fully behind him, even cutting him off before starting his “business” promo, addressing Brock Lesnar. The fan appreciation was akin to that for WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles. Femi brought up how he and Paul Heyman don’t agree on a lot, but they both agree on spoilers. The former two-time NXT Champion spoiled the King of the Ring Tournament by saying he’ll destroy every opponent standing in front of him to become this year’s King of the Ring. He brought up how this year is the year for ‘The Ruler’ to collect all the trophies, but the most important trophy is Lesnar’s head.

Just as he wrapped up his promo on ‘The Beast’, Dominik Mysterio interrupted and got booed out of the building. ‘Dirty Dom’ didn’t like how the ‘rookie’ overlooked him in their semifinals King of the Ring matchup. He talked about being the King of the Luchadores and being a 20-year veteran of the business, while the ‘rookie’ had only been around for a cup of coffee. Mysterio demanded that Femi bend a knee to respect ‘the stache’, which was a setup for JD McDonagh to hit ‘The Ruler’ from behind with a chair. This had no effect on ‘The Ruler’, scaring McDonagh out of his pants. Femi punched the chair into the former tag champ’s head. ‘The Ruler’ was pulling McDonagh in between the ropes, accidentally setting himself up for a 619. The AAA Mega Champion connected, but Femi didn’t drop. Mysterio attempted to hit a flying move off the top rope. This turned into a flying nothing when Femi caught him mid-air and threw him about eight feet high before slamming him hard on his back. McDonagh saved his Judgement Day stablemate before Femi was going to hit a Fall from Grace. ‘The Ruler’ absolutely obliterated ‘Dirty Dom’ on the mic by saying that although Rey Mysterio is his biological father, ‘The Ruler’ will introduce the AAA Mega Champion to his daddy next week when they go one-on-one in their King of the Ring Semifinals matchup in Baltimore, Maryland.

There was another recap of how Seth Rollins beat Bron Breakker during last Raw’s main event with the help of Montez Ford. This seemingly ended their feud. Jackie Redmond conducted a backstage interview with the Grand Slam Champion, who introduced Paris to ‘Monday Night Rollins’ with great support. Rollins talked about how his last time in Paris, he was the World Heavyweight Champion as the leader of The Vision. The Vision was the future back then, but now it’s in the past, and the future now is the King of the Ring Tournament. He vows to become ‘King Rollins’ and take back the World Heavyweight Championship that he never lost. He called out former Shield brother Roman Reigns. The six-time World Champion went into their past and talked about how the ‘OTC’ can’t seem to win a title on their own and how Reigns could never beat them when it mattered most. Rollins said the title doesn’t belong to Reigns and that it belongs to ‘The Visionary’.

This was followed up by a first-round Queen of the Ring Tournament Fatal Four-Way match between Alexa Bliss, Chelsea Green, Becky Lynch, and Liv Morgan. Morgan started the match by rolling out of the ring. The other three started wrestling one another, allowing the Women’s World Champion some breathing time. Bliss would start out strong, taking out Lynch and Morgan before Green would hit a flying cross body on the outside. During Green’s salute, Lynch would get back and shove her into the ring post, mocking the former Women’s United States Champion’s salute before the commercial break. ‘Little Miss Bliss’ would go on another run before temporarily teaming with Green to take out Morgan and Lynch. Green would boot Bliss in the face to break up the alliance. They all traded offensive blows before Morgan hit a corner powerbomb onto Green. When she stacked up the pin, Bliss broke it up with a Twisted Bliss. ‘Little Miss Bliss’ would pin Geen, but Lynch would break up that pin, continuing the match. The end would come when all the competitors took turns hitting their finishers on one another. Green would hit an Unpretty-Her on Lynch, pinning her before the Women’s World Champion would surprise the former Women’s United States Champion with a pinning rollup to win the match.

WWE would start promoting AAA’s TripleMania before talking about Penta vs. WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. Both men talked about how they are honored to fight each other. They view each other as the greatest luchadors, and they both were ready to make history. Penta would be backstage preparing for the match before Chad Gable came in to talk with the Intercontinental Champion. Gable talked about how his loss to Penta in the latter’s debut match caused him to turn into the Original El Grande Americano, insulting lucha libre and targeting luchadors around WWE. Gable apologized to Penta. While Penta respected the former Tag Team Champion for realizing the error of his ways, the current champ told him that he really needs to apologize to the AAA General Manager. Gable acknowledged this before cutting to a commercial break.

Breaking news would open from the commercial break. Saturday Night’s Main Event was announced for Atlanta, Georgia, on September 6th at State Farm Arena. Rollins and Ford would return from the break, having a chat in the locker room. Ford called Rollins this generation’s King of the Ring. Both men acknowledged one another before Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Jacob Fatu barged in. They told ‘The Visionary’ to be careful about how he talks about the family, and Jey said he was planning to become King of the Ring to challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship. Rhodes mentioned how it was good that Jey was in the tournament, but wondered what was going on with Jimmy. The six-time World Champion would talk about how he’s not targeting the family, only the ‘OTC’. Rollins was disappointed that the three were only doing the dirty work for Reigns; he was looking for ‘Main Event’ Jey and ‘Big Jim’. Jey would call Fatu to punish Rollins, but the ‘Samoan Werewolf’ walked out of the locker room to his cousins’ surprise.

The Women’s Intercontinental Champion match would take place between Sol Ruca and Lyra Valkyria. The inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion was preparing for the match before tag team partner Bayley came in to say how she was proud of her and how she’s excited for her partner to win back the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Michael Cole opened up the match, talking about how Valkyria couldn’t challenge for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship as long as Lynch was the champion. Both women would chain wrestle and counter one another before kipping up simultaneously. They continued countering each other with their athleticism before Ruca hit an X-Factor to get a two-count. The champ would stay in control before Valkyria threw her out of the ring into a commercial break.

Both women would hit a clothesline on each other to greet viewers back into Raw. They traded blows before Ruca hit a combination of strikes to gain the upper edge. She would hit a snap German suplex, a missile dropkick, and a running knee, which would give her a two-count. Valkyria would get her own offense in when countering a springboard attack from the champ. The former champ would hit a guillotine legdrop and a spinning heel kick to get her own two-count. Valkyria would attempt a tornado DDT, to which Ruca countered by performing a handstand. This shocked the former champ, giving an opening for the current champ to hit another X-Factor. The former champ would surprise Ruca when she countered with her own handstand, resulting in Valkyria hitting a basement drop kick. Ruca would attempt a Sol Snatcher, but Valkyria would intercept. She would position the champ into the Nightwing. Ruca would attempt a rollup, but Valkyria hit her own for a two-count. The former champ would get caught on the ropes after missing a spinning kick, allowing Ruca to snatch Valkyria’s soul and retain her Intercontinental Championship.

Cole and Corey Graves would talk about how Fatu had to fall in line with the ‘OTC’. Jimmy and Jey would confront Fatu about why he didn’t do anything to Rollins in the locker room. The ‘Samoan Werewolf’ told his cousins he doesn’t acknowledge them and doesn’t want to take orders from them. He also pointed out how the Usos should be worried about LA Knight talking badly about the family and how arguing with him wasn't productive.

Knight would come out to another thunderous ovation. Timekeeper Berkeley Ottman would mess up the mic throw to Knight. The former United States Champion gave him another shot at throwing the mic properly this time. He talked about his King of the Ring chances, but he doesn’t because he acknowledges that the ‘OTC’ is doing everything in his power to have The Bloodline do his dirty work to keep his World Heavyweight Championship. Even if he were to face Reigns for the title at SummerSlam, Raw general manager Adam Pearce would allow the champ to bring every single person of his family against Knight to ensure their ‘OTC’ kept his belt. Knight called out how Pearce has his favorites backstage and how he’s not one of them. Regardless, Knight wished his opponents good luck, especially Jey, because he promised he wouldn’t stop or quit until winning the King of the Ring Tournament. He specifically called out Jey and asked him to fight fair and not call the rest of the Bloodline out to ruin the match this Friday.

Jey would come out in all black and barely acknowledge his fans down the ramp. Paris would yeet with him when he stood on the corner before ‘Main Event’ Jey grabbed a mic to confront Knight. Paris wouldn’t let him until he ran it back, but Knight interrupted the Yeets. Knight asked why Jey came out, and the former World Heavyweight Champion said he was out to give Knight a warning shot about not disrespecting his family again. He claimed he would win King of the Ring before Knight interrupted his music again. This time, Knight said that he respected Jey for being a good family man and being overprotective of his family, but he said screw the Uso’s family from the bottom of his heart. Jey and Knight were ready to fight before Jimmy came down the ring to calm his brother down.

Gable was backstage trying to talk to Mysterio and Rey Fenix. Fenix was cool with Gable, and Mysterio told Gable his mask vs. mask match with El Grande Americano was true lucha libre. He accepted Gable’s apology but pulled him aside to talk a bit more. The Hall of Famer told Gable to look further back before his El Grande Americano run to see who else he should apologize to and what to apologize for.

Penta and Rey Mysterio walked out for their Intercontinental Championship matchup. Both men were men with fan adoration. Rey wore a shirt with him and Eddie Guerrero sitting in a low rider. Both men shook hands before Rey set up an early 619. Penta vaulted the Hall of Famer before hitting a baseball slide under the bottom rope. Mysterio countered with an asai moosault. Raw returned with both men kicking each other. Penta would gain full control, even hitting his patented corner dropkick and a tope con hilo with the Parisian crowd chanting “lucha libre”. The Intercontinental Champion would hit a backstabber for a two-count. Penta’s chops rattled the arena before Mysterio hit a DDT counter. Both men would counter each other once again before the Hall of Famer countered by sweeping Penta on the apron, allowing the former to hit a 619 on the outside and a sunset flip powerbomb into the barricade to bring the show to another commercial break. Penta would return and start attacking Mysterio’s legs, with Cole and Graves talking about the Hall of Famer’s knee injuries. The champ would hit a Penta Driver, but Mysterio would kick out at two. Penta would call for the Mexican Destroyer before Mysterio would kick him and hit a poisonrana. He would hit a 619 and drop the time for a near fall. Both men would exchange forearms. Penta would position Mysterio for another Penta Driver before Mysterio countered him with another 619. Rey would go up the corner to hit a frog splash, but Penta would get his knees up to counter. The champ would hit his Mexican Destroyer to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Both men would embrace post-match before Ethan Page and Rusev assaulted both men. They would pick both men apart. Rusev would hit The Accolade before Dragon Lee came out to make a save. Lee would hold his own and fend off both men, and would attempt a dive before Page stopped the momentum. Page called Rusev to unmask Mysterio, and he did so successfully. Gable would come out to take Page and Rusev to Suplex City. Gable would apply the ankle lock on Page, but Rusev would pull his buddy out of the ring and save him. The segment would end with the former and the Original El Grande Americano retrieving Mysterio’s mask and giving it back to the Hall of Famer.

Raquel Rodriguez would cut a recorded promo about how smaller women were in her way of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. She would trash her opponent, Iyo Sky, and remind her about how their last matchup went. Rodriguez talked about her plans of winning the tournament to beat Rhea Ripley and take her WWE Women’s Championship. It would shortly cut to Talla Tonga backstage, preparing for his qualifying King of the Ring bout in the main event.

Sky would cut another recorded promo talking about how Asuka entrusted her to run the Women’s Division while she was away. ‘The Genius of the Sky’ went after Rodriguez about not having honor or heart. She talked about how ‘Big Mami Cool’ is only doing the dirty bidding of Morgan. Sky also mentioned how Rodriguez has yet to be a Women’s World Champion, furthering the chances of Rodriguez turning on The Judgement Day.

Roxanne Perez met backstage with Morgan about how the current Women’s World Champion was right last week about staying down about herself instead of thinking of the bigger picture. ‘Roxy’ planted the seeds of a possible match between Rodriguez and the Women’s World Champion, who quickly was looking for an out of the conversation. ‘Dirty Dom’ and McDonagh came back into the clubhouse just in time, and Morgan mentioned how they could come up with a plan. All members left except for Perez, who said she’d catch up with them later.

​The main event saw Rollins, Ricky Saints, Tonga, and Je’Von Evans in a Fatal Four-Way to see who would move on to the semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament. Saints would initially attack ‘The Visionary’, leaving Evans and Tonga in the ring by themselves. The bouncy man would attempt an early OG Cutter, but the tallest Tonga countered it and tackled Evans. Rollins and Tonga would stand face-to-face. Rollins’s chops had no effect, and Tonga would tackle him, too. Evans would save Rollins, and both men would team up to take out the tallest Tonga. Their teamwork would be broken up by Saints, who would form a temporary alliance with Tonga, but the big man would boot Saints right in the face. He would attack all competitors and gorilla press Evans out of the ring on top of Saints and Rollins to head into the commercial break. Saints, Evans, and Rollins would team up to take out Tonga. Saints and Rollins would go one-on-one for a while, with the veteran gaining an upper edge. Evans would come back in and take over before Rollins gave him a good fight. The three would fight before Austin Theory interrupted the match, ruining Rollin’s chances of winning King of the Ring. Ford would come out and attack Theory, but Breakker would Spear Rollins in half, allowing Saints to cover. Evans would hit the OG Cutter on Saints to advance to the semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament.
