Packers 53-Man Roster Is Set for the 2025 NFL Season

NFL

The roster is set for the Green Bay Packers for the 25-26 season. Let’s take a look back at how we got here today. Each team is allowed 53 men on the team, including 16 players on the practice squad, cut down from 91. Finally, just hours before the official roster was released, the team announced its 20-year tradition of having one or more undrafted free agents on the team. This year, the Packers are looking at defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse

The Packers, before the roster deadline, have started making moves, including when earlier this offseason they traded wide receiver Bo Melton. Melton was picked up by the Pack back during the 22-23 season. During this past off-season, Melton, who played cornerback in college, made the move to the CB position as a part of the 53-man roster of the 25-26 season. This move was made notably after Jaire Alexander was released earlier this offseason. Other moves to note before the final roster was released. The Packers released fellow cornerback Kalen King earlier today, leaving Melton in the CB room this season with Keisean Nixon and Nate Hobbs, who was picked up earlier this offseason by the team.

Notable cuts and trades came early on Monday and Tuesday on both sides of the ball. QB Sean Clifford was cut from the roster last year as well. Former Super Bowl winner, Chiefs linebacker Isaiah Simmons, was also cut on Tuesday. Another move on offense came early in the week when the Packers traded for tackle Darian Kinnard, previously of the Eagles.

Now here is the 53-man roster representing the Green Bay Packers in the 2025-26 season. Starting on the offensive side of the ball. QB Jordan Love is the starter, and Malik Willis is back as backup. Offensive linemen for the season are Aaron Banks, Anthony Belton, Elgton Jenkins, Donovan Jennings, Darian Kinnard, Jordan Morgan, Sean Rhyan, Zac Tom, and finally Rasheed Walker. Josh Jacobs will be accompanied by both Chris Brooks and Emanuel Wilson as the running backs. The weapons for Love could be endless, as the wide receiver's depth continues to grow with the rookie Matthew Golden. Joining Golden are Romeo Doubs, Malik Heath, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and Savion Williams. More depth in the tight ends as John Fitzpatrick joins Tucker Kraft, Luke Musgrave, and Ben Sims. Moving on to special teams, veteran Brandon McManus is back as kicker, Daniel Whelan as punter, and Matt Orzech as long snapper.

Last but not least, the defense. Along with Melton, Hobbs, and Nixon, other cornerbacks to make the 53-man roster are Kamal Hadden, Micah Robinson, and Carrington Valentine. Safeties for the year are Zayne Anderson, Javon Bullard, Xavier McKinney, Kitan Oladapo, and Evan Williams. Stackhouse is in good company with the set of defensive tackles, Warren Brinson, Karl Brooks, Kenny Clark, Colby Wooden, and Devonte Wyatt. Rashan Gary leads the list for defensive ends. Joining Gary are Brenton Cox Jr., Kingsley Enagbare, Barryn Sorrell, and Lukas Van Ness. Finally, the linebackers for the Packers are Edgerrin Cooper, Ty’Ron Hopper, Isaiah McDuffie, and Quay Walker. With that, these are the 53 players who have made it onto the Green Bay Packers for the 2025-26 NFL season.
