Players To Look Out for In the Cowboys Final Preseason Game

NFL

The Cowboys' second preseason game versus the Baltimore Ravens panned out eerily similarly compared to their first game in SoFi Stadium versus the Rams. Dallas would lose 31-13 with another lackluster performance from quarterback Joe Milton, who in the first half ended up having completed two out of eight passes for only 14 yards, one interception, and a 0.0 passer rating. While the offense struggled for the second consecutive game, the Cowboys' defense did showcase some positive moments, particularly in their secondary. Late in the first quarter, cornerback Andrew Booth intercepted his old teammate Cooper Rush and took it back for a touchdown. The Cowboys would get another interception in the form of a dropped pass that landed into the hands of Kemon Hall, who needed to make a big play, which he did. As the Cowboys approach their final preseason game of 2025, they remain hopeful for contributions from certain players who have either yet to see action or need to continue building on their previous performances.

Jaydon Blue

Jaydon Blue, the rookie from Texas, has yet to play in the preseason due to the bone bruise he suffered two weeks ago in training camp. The injury itself is not serious; however, the Cowboys decided to take the safe route and not risk anything, opting to play other backs such as Miles Sanders and Phil Mafaf. Blue's skill set is entirely distinct from that of the other Dallas running backs, which is something the Cowboys are eager to utilize during the regular season and, ideally, the playoffs, should they qualify for the postseason. Even if Blue gets short action against Atlanta, it will be easy to spot that he is different compared to everyone else Dallas has put out there thus far.

Damone Clark

Longtime Cowboy Damone Clark is finally beginning to make an impact, showcasing his skills with a strong performance against the Ravens. Clark recorded six solo tackles and two tackles for loss while being quick to the ball and filling the gaps in the run game early on for Dallas. Since being drafted in 2022, Clark has struggled to make an impact on the Cowboys' roster and has often been overshadowed by other linebackers over the years. It was coming to a point where the Cowboys felt that it was time to give up on Clark, and with him being on a contract year, it is his year to prove to Dallas why he should stay. There have been several ups and even more downs for Clark, but if he can put in a solid performance versus the Falcons and keep it going all the way into the regular season, he has the chance to continue to call Dallas his home for more years to come.
