Possible Trade Package in Talks for Seahawks Rookie QB
With tensions rising high as the days towards the regular 2025 NFL season get shorter and shorter in number, there tends to never be a dull moment for most teams in the league. That includes the Seahawks, with them giving the hopefully prime and ready opportunity to Jalen Milroe, the newest rookie quarterback for the team, as he’s one of the players who needs to have a close eye on this season. The higher-ups have come up with a plan in place that will hopefully stick around. Giving Milroe more and more chances to be able to shine out on the astroturf field this season, and possibly beyond, depending on how things go for him currently.
Coach Mike MacDonald had some thoughts on Milroe himself and the play package as well to share. “We’re going to have plays for Jalen in the game plan. He’s going to rep those with the ones. However, we built the package for him to go into the games. He needs those reps in walkthrough and full speed, so that’s going to be important. How we do it, who gets many reps, obviously Sam Darnold, it starts with how many reps he needs to get ready, then we kind of work off it from there.”
Jalen Milroe has been known to have some power up his sleeve, especially in the final preseason game this past weekend. Despite the loss for Seattle, Milroe was still able to hold his own, even if he was cramped up and locked out for some plays. Though with more and more practice, as well as more and more reps. This mentality needs to be able to be molded in the right way. Whether or not it’s based on knowledge from a previous game to the next, watching the playback, working on every single possible flaw, and ironing out the kinks with Jalen. There could be a possibility for Milroe to have a star-studded status as a rookie this season.
Milroe is not one to not put in the work at all. He just needs the time and the right amount of motivation from both the rest of the team and the coaches. While also having the right plays that can really give the Seahawks’ offensive line a good jolt of energy on the field. While losses won’t truly matter the most until the playoffs. There will always be that window of opportunity for improvement, whether it’s a rookie like Milroe or even one of the other seasoned players on the offense and defense.
