Reliable Veteran Perimeter Threat Headed to the Warriors

NBA

Seth Curry entered the 2025 offseason as an unrestricted free agent and one of the most consistent veteran shooters that will be available this summer. The 34-year-old guard played this past season with the Charlotte Hornets, contributing solid minutes off the bench and continuing to showcase his elite three-point shooting. Known for his ability to stretch the floor and provide instant offense, Curry shot 45.6% from beyond the arc in limited minutes. While Charlotte didn’t make the playoffs, Curry’s role as a steady contributor remained evident. Now, it is being reported by Shams Charania that the youngest Curry brother has signed a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Curry began his journey in the NBA in 2013 after going undrafted, spending time in the G League before earning his spot in the league. Though he shares a last name with his superstar brother, Stephen Curry, Seth has carved out a respectable career of his own, known for his basketball IQ, professionalism, and offensive efficiency. Over the years, he has played for multiple teams, including the Sacramento Kings, the Dallas Mavericks twice, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Charlotte Hornets. His career averages of 10 points per game on over 43% shooting from three-point range speak for themselves, especially considering his role has often involved coming off the bench. Seth has built a strong reputation as a plug-and-play contributor capable of providing scoring in any offensive system.

During his time with the 76ers, Curry played a major role as a starter and reliable scoring option next to Joel Embiid, including a strong playoff showing in the 2021 postseason. That run helped elevate his profile around the league and showed that he could handle high-pressure moments and significant minutes in the postseason. He has continued to contribute to Brooklyn, Dallas, and Charlotte since, offering reliable shooting and smart making. His consistency and ability to fit into different systems make him a valuable option off the bench for any team.

Now signed with the Warriors, Curry brings veteran leadership and reliable three-point shooting to his new team. He’s expected to contribute as a steady presence off the bench, spacing the floor, and providing scoring in key moments. His experience and basketball IQ will be valuable in both regular-season and playoff settings. Curry will look to make the most of this new opportunity as he enters his 12th NBA season.
