Reviewing Cowboys Wide Receivers’ Placement On the NFL’s Top 10 Receivers For 2025 List
CeeDee Lamb was recently voted on as the fourth-best receiver on the NFL's top ten wideouts for 2025. The voting is compiled from NFL executives, coaches, and scouts from around the league. The three players ahead of Lamb are in first place, Bengals Ja’Marr Chase; second place, Vikings Justin Jefferson; and third place, Dolphins Tyreek Hill, with Eagles A.J. Brown rounding out the top five. Many Cowboys fans would definitely argue that Lamb deserves to crack the top three, but they’ll have to settle for the top five. Nonetheless, Lamb deserves the credit the higher-ups in the NFL have given him.
They stated early on in the review of Lamb that he checks all the different boxes that are needed to be an elite receiver in the league today. His resume that’s been displayed speaks for itself, and despite the mishaps that the Cowboys roster has to deal with, he still performs. An undisclosed NFL personnel evaluator noted his ability outside the slot is excellent and that his skills and vision as a ball carrier after the catch are very good. Lamb was placed all over the top ten, with his highest ranking coming in third and his lowest coming in tenth; his ranking last year was fourth. He is also the second-highest-ranked receiver in the NFC behind Jefferson and the highest-ranked receiver in the NFC East above Brown and Giants Malik Nabers, who was seventh on the list.
Fair Ranking?
By all means, Lamb in fourth place is a fair spot to put him. The top three is a very reasonable place for Lamb as well, especially with many believing that he has surpassed Hill in the last season after his disappointing season with the Dolphins. Another controversial argument that will happen because of the ranking is Lamb placing over Brown of the Eagles. Two division rivals being four and five on a top ten list builds for some must-see TV arguments between the two fan bases. With the Eagles and Cowboys to open the NFL season, be sure to see this ranking being brought up a lot to compare the two elite receivers.
