‘The Fearless’ Faces ‘The Best’ for the Men’s Flyweight Title

UFC

Joshua Van will come to blows against Tatsuro Taira in Miami for UFC 327 to try and secure the Men’s Flyweight Championship! Also, the main card will feature another title fight for the Men’s Light Heavyweight Championship, which makes UFC 327 a must-see event! Van is currently 25 years old, while his opponent, ‘The Best’, is 26 years old. Being close in age, the fighters don’t have an age advantage against each other. ‘The Best’ will look to capitalize in other areas because of this, while his opponent, ‘The Fearless’, will look to do the same. The chance of finding an opening in either’s advances and defenses looks to be evenly matched when comparing their respective stats as well. However, there is always an area where one fighter can hold better ground than the other.

Van may be fearless in his attitude towards the many opponents he has faced since his time with the UFC, and this may be due to the tactics he brings to these fights. For example, he has won all of his last five fights, with two of those being by knockout. Between the two fighters, Van is more of a striker and can even go the distance in a fight. This endurance has led him to many unanimous-decision-based wins. Interestingly, ‘The Fearless’ can grapple and has limited success with those techniques. It is unlikely he’ll take the fight to the ground as a result. His 26-year-old opponent may take the fight there to seek this limited area. ‘The Fearless’ may have some fear in

‘The Best’ is just as skilled a fighter with four years in the UFC himself. He has amassed many of his wins through grappling submissions before and during this time. He has even secured knockout victories in some of his fights. Overall, ‘The Best’ is a versatile fighter, standing or going to the ground with little difficulty. In both scenarios, his reach is even greater than his opponent's. This advantage is compounded further by the fact that he absorbs fewer strikes during his fights. Taira will just have to maintain a solid defense because his opponent will look to hammer as many blows while standing toe-to-toe with him.

The data suggests that Van will be the winner of this fight due to a decision-based win. Taira could, too, given that he lands more strikes on average than his opponents. ‘The Best’ even has strong defenses while standing or on the ground. Van will have to keep the ground in mind because that is Taira’s preferred method to secure a win. This makes that area an advantage to ‘The Best’ with his increased reach being an added benefit in that situation. The reason for this projected win in favor of ‘The Fearless’ is tied strongly to his endurance, as well.

Endurance can be overcome, no matter the fighter it has been developed most strongly in. This is because Van will lose to Taira due to exhaustion after the exchanges they have on the ground. The 25-year-old fighter knows this and will likely keep the fight standing to avoid key points of advantage that his opponent will take. However, the 26-year-old opponent will be able to find those moments and knows even an attempted takedown will become a way to slow the momentum to gain the edge in the closing round. Both fighters will likely go the whole fight because they are used to the energy needed during their respective times in the octagon. So stream through Paramount+ to watch UFC 327, as the octagon holds the many twists and turns this fight will take!
