The Most Hostile Road Environments the Cowboys Will Face in 2026

NFL

In 2026, the Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to play ten games away from Jerry's World in what should be one of the most difficult schedules in the league. Dallas will play five AFC teams, the NFC West, and other second-place teams in the NFC. Last year, Dallas finished 2-6 on the road, not making the playoffs for a second straight year. With playoff aspirations in 2026 and now being tasked to play in difficult environments, what are the best road environments that Dallas will see in 2026?

Week Three vs. Baltimore

After consecutive NFC East games against the Giants and Commanders, the Cowboys are focused on their upcoming matchup with the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Dallas, in theory, is the designated home team, but considering the game is in South America, being snubbed of a game played with this magnitude early in the season in Arlington is unfortunate. The game will be played in one of the most renowned stadiums in world sports, the Maracanã, where many legends of the soccer world have etched their names in the history books. Now, in the world of NFL football, stars like Dak Prescott and Lamar Jackson will try to make their legacy known in Brazil.

Week Six at Green Bay

Dallas will travel to Wisconsin to face longtime rivals, the Green Bay Packers, during one of their toughest stretches of games this season. Dallas has not had the best history versus Green Bay since the 2010s, having lost several playoff games and intense regular-season games against them in the Prescott and Tony Romo eras. The last time the Cowboys played at Lambeau Field, Dallas blew a 28-14 lead in the fourth quarter, losing in overtime 31-28, giving Aaron Rodgers one last classic performance against them. The Cowboys' last 13 games against the Packers are a disappointing 2-1-10 and 2-6 in Lambeau, so they hope they can try to turn the tide in the 2026 edition of the rivalry.

Week 14 at Seattle

Dallas will travel to play the reigning Super Bowl champions after their bye week to face arguably their biggest test of the season. In 2014, Dallas encountered a similar challenge, traveling to Seattle early in the season to face the reigning Super Bowl champions, where they won in an upset. The Cowboys in the Dak Prescott era have won impressive games against the Seahawks, like in Prescott's first playoff win in 2018. Seattle is known for being one of the most challenging environments in the NFL, and Dallas will attempt to replicate a performance reminiscent of their win in 2014.
