The Pacific Northwest Is Holding Its Breath, What's Next for The Seahawks?

NFL

Another week in the season is down, and yet more players are getting injured. Thankfully, the number of people on Seattle’s end remains mostly the same this week. Not really anyone new or important enough besides Jaxon Smith-Njigba. However, he is currently resting, according to the report that the team officially released tonight. This report comes after the nail-biting close call and unfortunate loss of a game last weekend. The two players that I will be highlighting for tonight’s story are Cody White and Mike Morris, respectively. They haven’t been featured in previous injury reports, so it makes sense to discuss them specifically this time.

Mike Morris is a Defensive Lineman for Seattle. Currently, he has limited participation in recent practice due to a knee injury. Whether he will be sitting out when the team goes up against Tennessee this upcoming weekend remains to be seen. Cody White, a wide receiver for the team, has limited participation due to an abdominal injury. As of now, his status is unspecified for Sunday. Luckily, there are fewer wide receivers out for injuries than can get out on the field; that way, White can easily be subbed out, if possible, for the playing lineup this weekend. The same situation goes with Morris; there are not that many defensive linemen out with injuries this season, so it won’t be too much of a problem for Seattle to find someone to sub in for Morris.

All eyes will be on Seattle, whether White and Morris recover. While also hoping that the rest of the team, which is out due to injuries, can return to the field in Tennessee. Even if it won’t be a home advantage in this upcoming game, with the season rapidly ending, it's happening faster than some may think. The chances of Seattle picking up the slack from players like White and Morris being out are dwindling over time. The team's overall fate is becoming increasingly complicated as the season draws to a close. Even if it’s felt like it’s been a slow crawl these last few weeks, it’ll be all over in the blink of an eye before we know it.
