Three NFL Week One Prop Bets That Fans Should Have Their Eyes on

NFL

Week One is right around the corner, and every team has a fresh start. They could’ve been terrible or made a playoff run the year before, but Week One is a chance for teams to prove themself early on in the season. Every team has fresh rosters, newly acquired players, expectations, and plenty of unknowns. This is a perfect time for a sport to capitalize on the market’s early inefficiencies before Vegas has the chance to see what teams and players have shown up to play this season and what stars will emerge. Here are the best props and spreads that are going to be slam dunks in Week One.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns

Bengals -4.5

Coming off a missed playoff appearance, Joe Burrow and the Bengals look to bounce back this season. They play a Browns team looking to prove themselves, but Cincinnati's elite offense gives them the edge to cover a 4.5 spread. Additionally, the Browns are starting Joe Flacco at quarterback. Flacco is 40 years old, which is one of the oldest ages for a quarterback in the league. The Bengals are looking to keep their momentum up as they have won the last five games of the 2024 season. With a high explosive offense headlined by Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, they look to fire on all cylinders. They look to blow out the Browns, whom they have beaten three times in the past two years. In the three games they won, they covered the 4.5-point spread in all of them, and they look to continue that momentum in Sunday's game. Since they missed the playoffs in 2024, the offense will be locked in to make their mark on Week One.  Burrow’s high explosive offense will give them the edge, even though the game isn’t played in Cincinnati.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills

Over 50.5

The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens met twice in the 2024 season, once in the regular season and once in the AFC Divisional Round. Each team won once, with the Bills winning in the playoffs and the Ravens blowing the Bills out in the regular season. In the playoff game, the Bills beat the Ravens by a score of 27-25, which was a total of 52 points. In the highly anticipated season opener, both teams are supposed to bring their dynamic offenses to light, setting the stage for a shootout between the two teams. Both teams have top-five quarterbacks, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, who can either pass for 300 yards or rush for 100 yards. Also, both teams feature top-tier running backs, James Cook and Derrick Henry, with the ability to break a run for 50+ yards. With these weapons on both teams, this will put pressure on defenses and will test their limits. Fans should expect an intense, high-scoring shootout, slamming over 50.5 points. This will be a great game and you should expect lots of points, regardless of which team you’re rooting for.

Washington Commanders vs New York Giants

Austin Ekeler over 21.5 receiving yards

Austin Ekeler is listed as the number one running back on the Washington Commanders depth chart. As a veteran running back and a proven dual-threat, he brings experience and versatility to Washington's offense. His best attribute is his pass-catching ability, and he’s expected to be a safe weapon out of the backfield, especially for a check-down player and a guy who can turn short passes into big gains. The Commanders expect Ekeler to be involved early in the pass game. The Giants have an elite defensive line. With the addition of Abdul Carter, the Giants' defense will be even more elite than it was last year, so you should plan on Jayden Daniels relying heavily on Ekeler to provide quick, reliable yards to help manage the intense pressure Daniels will be receiving. In 2024, Ekeler averaged 44 receiving yards in both of the games the Commanders played against the Giants, with his high being 47 yards. This is another reason to rip Ekeler over 21.5 receiving yards.

Week One is here, and every team gets a clean slate. Last year's success or struggles no longer matter because every team gets a fresh start and a chance to prove itself to fans all around the world. NFL teams' new players, coaches, and rosters are ready to make their mark on the new season. Every fan around the world will be watching to see if their team has what it takes to win a Super Bowl. This is the perfect time to find low lines that will win you a lot of money.
