Three Wrestlers Who Might Jump Ship in 2026

As we move closer to 2026, many superstars will have goals set for themselves, whether it’s to main event a PLE or win a World Championship. For other superstars, it’s the possibility of moving on from where they are to debut in another wrestling company. With a couple of notable contracts set to expire, it will be interesting to see who will make the move to another promotion, whether it’s WWE, AEW, or New Japan. Here is a prediction of three wrestlers who might leave their respective companies and make the jump to another brand.

Bayley

Bayley is one of the most decorated females of all time in WWE. She has won multiple world titles, became Ms. Money in the Bank, won the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble, and was one-half of the first Women’s Tag Team Champion. With all these accomplishments in mind, Bayley has done it all during her 10-year run with the company. With her contract set to expire in 2026, she has nothing else to prove in WWE, and a change of scenery might be the best course for her career. She could either wrestle in Japan or go to AEW and wrestle alongside her best friend Mercedes Moné. Bayley would be a great addition to any company, and her experience and knowledge of professional wrestling would be a big boost to any other Women’s Division.

Danhausen

The “very nice, very evil” Danhausen is a very beloved comedic wrestler. Known for his time in Ring of Honor and AEW, Danhausen not only delivers in laughs but also has an amazing set of skills in the ring. AEW currently has no plans for him, and with his contract also set to expire in 2026, Danhausen can easily fit into any roster, whether it’s for a comedic sketch or to deliver a big-time match. His experience could very well fit into the NXT roster, as someone who can not only develop the future stars of tomorrow, but to unleash his chaos in WWE.

Britt Baker

‘The Role Model’ Britt Baker not only kicks ass as a dentist outside of the squared circle, but she also dishes it out inside the ring. Her level of confidence on the microphone and in-ring skills makes her a necessary addition wherever she goes. Baker is a former AEW Women’s World Champion and the winner of the inaugural Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Although still signed to AEW, creative has not been the best to her, and she has disappeared from AEW television for extended periods of time. With her contract set to expire in late 2026, a move to WWE is best suitable for her. She could easily debut on the main roster and establish herself as a force to be reckoned with in the Women’s Division.

Oscar Martines

Oscar is a Journalism major at Cal State Long Beach. He’s an avid fan of wrestling and soccer and enjoys attending live events whenever he can.
