Top Bets Fans Should Lock in for Week Five

NFL

Week Five is finally here, and there are four teams that have byes. This is the week where trends actually matter, and you can start betting on the team/player consistency throughout the season. As you look at the board, there are favorable matchups you need to look at. Here are two stone-cold locks for this week.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Jets

Cowboys -1 (-115)

The Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. The weather is supposed to be wonderful, 77 degrees with six miles per hour winds and a zero percent chance of showers. This bodes well for the high-powered Dallas offense, which is leading the league in yards per game.  With the Jets defense allowing 30 points per game,  look for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense to move the ball efficiently and attack early and often. Even with CeeDee Lamb out, I don’t see a way where the Jets are going to be able to stop Prescott, who is playing like a top-five quarterback this year. The Cowboys are going to establish the line of scrimmage and get Javonte Williams going early, which will set up the play-action and open up opportunities downfield. On offense, the Jets have not only struggled to move the ball, but they are also top five in the NFL in turnovers this year, so when the Cowboys defense puts pressure on the quarterback and forces mistakes, it will lead to more points for the Cowboys. Yes, the Cowboys' D is bad and has struggled this season; however, their offense is elite, and the Jets are just not functioning well. Look for Dak to dominate and the Cowboys to pull out a nice team win on the road.

Tampa Bay Bucs vs. Seattle Seahawks

Kenneth Walker Over Nine Receiving Yards (-115)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled against running backs in the receiving game this entire season. Their pressure rate of 42% has them ranked in the top 10 in the league. This has caused quarterbacks to check down to their running back. If you consider the fact that Sam Darnold will be getting pressured this week, every starting running back that has faced Tampa so far this season has gone over receiving yards, and Walker has gone over his number the past three games, it looks like Kenneth Walker's line of 9.5 seems like a slam dunk.

As you scavenge the board, you see bets that look free and bets that look tough to hit. You should think about betting Dallas to win by 1.5 or Kenneth Walker to get his receiving yard prop. If you parlay the two together, then the odds would be +250. That means if you put $100 on the parlay, then it would pay $259.53, so go win some money.
