Top Returning College Baseball Outfielders Ready to Dominate

As the 2026 NCAA Baseball season approaches, attention turns to the elite talent returning to the college diamond across the nation. Among the most exciting position groups, the college baseball outfielders stand out as game-changers who can impact every aspect of the game. Three outfielders have proven their talents and established themselves as must-watch players this season. Drew Burress from Georgia Tech, Harrison Feinberg from Northeastern, and Aiden Robbins from Texas each return with impressive credentials and the potential to elevate their programs.

Drew Burress returns to Georgia Tech as one of the Atlantic Coast Conference's most dynamic college baseball outfielders, bringing a combination of power and athleticism to the Yellow Jackets’ lineup. The junior from Houston County, Georgia, posted outstanding numbers during his sophomore campaign, solidifying himself as a cornerstone player. He became the fastest Yellow Jacket in program history to reach 30 and 40 career home runs in his sophomore year. His speed on the basepaths puts opposing teams under constant pressure, while his disciplined batting keeps pitchers cautious. Burress’ defensive range in center field allows Georgia Tech to deploy aggressive pitching strategies and amplify their performance.

Texas’ promising returning outfielder, Aiden Robbins, is ready to contribute to head coach Jim Schlossnagle’s championship aspirations. The Longhorns have assembled a formidable roster through strategic recruiting and key transfers. Robbins’ skills in the field and at bat are both demonstrations of his offensive and defensive power. In his sophomore season, he ranked fifth nationally in on-base percentage and sixth in average, while totaling six home runs and 38 runs batted in. The Longhorns have critical matchups against their Southeastern Conference opponents and are a power program shaping up for the 2026 NCAA Baseball season.

The standout returning outfielder for the Northeastern Huskies, Harrison Feinberg, leads the roster after building an outstanding junior season. The senior from Greenwich, Connecticut, in his junior season slashed .367/.455/.715 with 37 stolen bases, tying the single-season program record in steals. Feinberg’s return strengthens the Huskies for another competitive season in the Coastal Athletic Association. His talent, alongside coach Mike Glavine’s powerful program, will emerge as a compelling team to watch this season. With Opening Day scheduled for next week, college baseball outfielders will play key roles in shaping their teams' seasons and battling for the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.
