Updates on Three 2025 Relegated LIV Golfers

LIV Golf uses a promotion-and-relegation system that removes underperforming players from the league at the end of each season. Players are ranked by season-long individual points, with the bottom finishers, typically those outside the top 48, falling into the “drop zone” and losing their LIV roster spots. Relegated players must re-earn entry through qualifying events or strong performances on affiliated tours, adding real stakes to weekly results and increasing competition across the league. Three players who were relegated from the 2024 season are the examples, and here is their update.

Kalle Samooja

Kalle Samooja has made only sporadic appearances, struggling to secure consistent starts. Injuries and limited competitive opportunities have disrupted his rhythm and stalled any sustained momentum. As a result, he has found it difficult to reestablish himself in the field and regain the form that once made him a regular presence. Samooja’s future in golf looks increasingly uncertain as dwindling opportunities leave little margin for error.

Scott Vincent

Scott Vincent secured a swift return to LIV Golf by winning the International Series Morocco, where he finished atop the rankings after competing in all nine events. Vincent’s future looks secure after his dominant International Series campaign, with consistent performances and a key victory earning him a swift return to LIV Golf and reestablishing him as a reliable presence at the top level. His ability to contend week after week showed renewed confidence and sharpness in his game. Vincent now has a clear platform to build momentum and cement his place moving forward with his LIV status restored.

Kieran Vincent

Kieran Vincent will make his return to LIV Golf as a replacement for Henrik Stenson, who was relegated this year. Kieran Vincent’s future hinges on his performance, with consistent results needed to secure his status and keep opportunities at the top level within reach. He risks slipping further down the pecking order as competition intensifies across tours without strong finishes. Conversely, a timely run of form could stabilize his career, open doors to exemptions or contracts, and allow him to follow his brother’s path back into contention at the highest levels of professional golf worldwide.
