Week 14 Fantasy Football Losers

NFL

Week 14 of the 2025 NFL Season concluded on Monday, proving the fact that has been said many times before: No one knows who is truly good, who is fraudulent, or if there are any real Super Bowl contenders. The Broncos secured their 10th straight win, but continued to cast doubts on their ability to play full, clean games of football. The Ravens and Chiefs are both 6-7, on the outside of the playoff picture, looking in. The Colts have lost three straight games in addition to losing their starting QB, Daniel Jones, for the rest of the season. The Colts, in turn, signed 44-year-old QB Philip Rivers to mentor and potentially play in place of the three injured quarterbacks on Indianapolis’ roster. The Bears lost a crucial division game to the Packers and fell from the first seed to the seventh in the tough NFC North and NFC overall. In terms of fantasy football, some playoffs have already started, but the rest will begin in Week 15. Here are some of the big-name stars that fell short of expectations, creating concern for their impact on fantasy football playoff rosters.

QB Patrick Mahomes – (6.3 Fantasy Points)

Averaging more than 20 fantasy points per game, Patrick Mahomes easily missed the mark on Sunday Night Football against the Texans. A few of his three interceptions bounced off the hands of his receivers, but the 2025 QB2 could not find any rhythm within his offense. The loss to Houston marks the third game this season that Mahomes has not scored a touchdown, and the second game with multiple interceptions. His 160 yards in the air are a season-low, and he has now recorded his worst single-game completion percentage of 42.4%, beating his previous season-low from a few weeks before of 44%. Not only are the Chiefs out of AFC West contention for the first time since before Mahomes was drafted, but the three-time Super Bowl champion has never thrown for less than 50% in his entire career, notching two in a season the Chiefs would like to forget. The Chiefs finish the season against the Chargers, Titans, Broncos, and Raiders, which on paper seem like good matchups to bounce back with while they fight for a wild card spot, but I would not be surprised if he is bested at least one more time.

QB Jalen Hurts – (0.4 Fantasy Points)

Week 14 Monday Night Football might go down as the worst-best primetime game all season. Jalen Hurts threw four interceptions, including the game-losing pick in OT. To make matters even worse for fantasy owners, Hurts threw an interception, which the Chargers fumbled. Hurts picked up the ball but then promptly fumbled it again. This was a negative four-point play for the Eagles’ QB that featured two turnovers against his stat sheet. Jalen Hurts struggled to connect on a lot of easy throws that would have extended their drives. The Eagles were in field goal range down three in OT, but Hurts threw one final interception, making his final stat line 21 for 40, 248 total yards, zero touchdowns, four interceptions, and a fumble. The Eagles' offense has been extremely spotty due to the lack of rushing success, and it shows no sign of correction.

RB Bijan Robinson – (9.4 Fantasy Points)

Bijan Robinson played against a stout Seattle defensive line without any other true weapons on offense. Although the game was tied 6-6 at halftime, the Seahawks put up 31 points in the second half. Robinson and the entire Atlanta offense were unable to find the endzone. The former Texas RB finished with 20 carries for a modest 86 yards, catching both targets for eight yards, but coughed up the ball in the red zone. Michael Penix has been done for the season, and there is no word on Drake London, who has not practiced since his Week 11 injury. As for Robinson, he is still a dominant player who can break a long touchdown on the ground or through the air, but his ceiling is dependent on Kirk Cousins, who is gearing up to face a struggling Tampa Bay and then Arizona defense.

RB Breece Hall – (4.3 Fantasy Points)

The Jets are the Jets, and Breece Hall is a good player on a bad team. Hall is projected to have decent numbers every week, but struggles to hit those numbers in the Jets’ offense. Hall is ranked as the RB16 for 2025, recording one game over 20 points. However, in the blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins, Hall put up his worst fantasy production since Week Three of 2024, not including the Week 13 game from that season where he exited with a knee injury. Hall has yet to record a 1,000-yard season in his four years, but it is likely because of the Jets. New York will have to play the Jaguars, Saints, Patriots, and Bills. Three of those four teams have a lot to play for, making it hard to have a productive workday.

WR Davante Adams – (6.9 Fantasy Points)

Davante Adams snapped his streak of six straight games with a touchdown, scoring 11 touchdowns from Week Seven to 13, and 16 total touchdowns on the year. The blowout win over Arizona was not a good environment for him to have an excellent day, finding himself on the bench next to Matthew Stafford late in the game. While his four receptions for 29 yards on Sunday are not the lowest statistical outputs this year for the former Packer and Raider, the lack of a touchdown is what seals this as a bad game for the receiver. The Rams are still fighting for the first seed in the NFC, and with tough matchups against the Lions, Seahawks, Falcons, and Cardinals again, Adams can and will be heavily involved in the Rams’ offense.
