Week Two Picks That Fans Need to Lock in Before Sunday
Week Two is here, and every team has a chance to watch back their film from the season opener and clean up any mistakes they made. It’s early in the season, but there is still time to capitalize on small lines and good opportunities. With a new week and a full set of matchups, there are three top picks you don’t want to miss out on. Before making your picks, be sure to look at these picks that have a strong chance of cashing.
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys -5 (-110)
The Dallas Cowboys look to redeem themselves after an unfortunate loss a week ago to the Philadelphia Eagles. Ultimately, they lost the game due to their lack of execution and ability to complete clutch plays down the stretch. Going into Week Two, they play the New York Giants, a team that Dak Prescott has never lost to in his entire career. This week is a chance for the Cowboys to find themselves again. They also benefit from three extra days of rest because their game last week was on Thursday Night and this week's game is on Sunday. With the Cowboys' elite offensive line, we should expect them to control the line of scrimmage and establish the run early. This will allow Prescott and the Cowboys to utilize the play action and either hit CeeDee Lamb or George Pickens throughout the game. They are dynamic players just waiting to make big plays. The Dallas defense showed promise pressure vs the Eagles, and as a result, we should expect the Cowboys to do the same against Russell Wilson, especially if New York Giants Pro Bowl left tackle Andrew Thomas doesn’t play. The line for the Cowboys, favored by five points, will go up, so get your bets in early, rather than later.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals
Bengals -3 (-120)
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals offense look to get their footing back from last season. Even though they started a little rusty last week against the Cleveland Browns, they finally got over their hump and were able to win the first game of the season, which they have not done since 2021. They look to come home and play the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that only scored two touchdowns against the Panthers in Week One. Burrow looks to reestablish his connection with Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase, who are two players just waiting to make big plays. Additionally, they have Chase Brown, who is a dynamic running back who is also lethal in the receiving game. With this offense being so elite, there's no reason why they can’t put up a lot of points versus an average Jacksonville Jaguars team. Also, they have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, and they will show why on Sunday.
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
CeeDee Lamb anytime touchdown (+100)
For CeeDee Lamb, this is a redemption game, but not in the way you might think. Last week, even though Lamb had a hundred-yard receiving day, he also had key mistakes. These mistakes included dropping three passes late down the stretch. He is one of the most competitive receivers in the league and usually catches the most incredible receptions. Those three drops last week are going to fuel him up to have a huge day. In the high explosive offense with George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, and Jalen Tolbert, Lamb is still the Cowboys' number one wide receiver, which means he will be targeted early and often in the red zone. He is a big play waiting to happen. With the Giants having a below-average secondary, we can expect Dak Prescott to target Lamb throughout the game, especially in the rezone, capitalizing on big plays and execution throughout the game.
Week Two is here, and teams had the chance to clean up the mistakes they had in Week One. The matchups this week offer bettors a new opportunity to make some money. You can expect the Cowboys and the Bengals to cover their spread and CeeDee Lamb to find the endzone at least once in the game. If you parlay these picks together, the odds will be +468, meaning that if you put $100, you will win $468.33, so go win some money!
