What a Win Means for ‘The Hangman’

UFC

Dan Hooker has reached Veteran status in the UFC; however, he is looking to prove that he still has a lot of fight left in the tank. He is entering a challenging fight against Arman Tsarukyan for a Lightweight battle. Hooker is coming in at 24 wins and 12 losses, with some of these wins coming recently. He has shown a slight resurgence in his career, and a win here will add momentum going forward.

The 35-year-old fighter has had a career full of ups and downs. Recently, he has battled some significant injuries that have forced him to cancel fights. This hurts a fighter's longevity and credibility, as it is hard to trust they can continue much longer. Hooker has found a second win and has stacked up some significant victories. He has shown that he can still compete against the younger guys in the Lightweight Division, even scoring himself a Main Event fight against Tsarukyan. This will be an extremely tough opponent, as the Armenian 29-year-old is one of the elite Lightweight fighters. He has only three losses and will do whatever it takes to avoid adding another one. Tsarukyan has title intentions and was on the right track not too long ago. He had a significant victory over Charles Oliveira and was set to face Islam Makhachev. He unfortunately had to withdraw due to injury, resetting his road to the title. Hooker is the first opponent standing in his way, which poses an engaging narrative. Hooker is at a much later moment in his career, with really nothing to lose. He is known for his high energy and powerful striking. If he can take advantage of Tsarukyan not fighting for a while and time his strikes right, he may just be able to find a victory.

Winning this fight would not be just another victory for Dan Hooker, but a solidifying moment for his career. He has gone through many ups and downs, but has always remained hungry to be the best fighter he can be. The 35-year-old still brings high energy to the octagon, which has proven effective against his opponents. Hooker still has a lot left in the tank and has proven that in his recent fights.
