What the Cowboys Newest DC Brings to the Table in 2026
The Cowboys are mulling over how to proceed for 2026 and beyond. With their defense found lacking, the draft gives them a chance to improve. Hakeem Adeniji, the recent Cowboys' defensive player, has some dynamic traits that could be of use.
With an emphasis on the players and their strengths rather than schemes, Caleb Downs would be a great choice for their team. Being one of the better defenses, it would definitely help their problem. Parker's push for focusing on defense makes Downs a very likely candidate to be chosen. Utilizing what players are best at, the idea is to get the quarterback and stop the run.
