Which Players Could Be the Top Fantasy Producers for the New York Jets This Season?

NFL

The Jets entered 2024 with tons of fantasy hype. With future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers returning, both receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall’s ADP were within the first round. While neither player didn’t lived up to that draft position last season, you will most likely be able to get players on this team at a discount, as many people don’t expect much from the Jets this season. Here’s a projection of who the best fantasy producers will be on this team.

Josh Reynolds, WR

Josh Reynolds gets the edge over Allen Lazard, who’s been on the team longer. Reynolds gets the spot for two reasons: familiarity with the coaching staff and not leading the league in drop percentage for two consecutive seasons. Reynolds was in Detroit with Glenn and Engstrand, so he will most likely get more touches simply because the coaching staff knows what they’re getting with him. Also, the previously mentioned drops for Lazard could hold him back because he and Reynolds have similar play styles.

Mason Taylor, TE

It’s rare for rookie tight ends to produce right away, but Mason Taylor has a chance. The situation he’s walking into is very beneficial from a production standpoint. There is no clear-cut number two wide receiver on the roster for the Jets, so Taylor will get many looks in the passing game. There’s also no one behind Taylor pushing for serious snaps, meaning that he will be getting most of the playing time at the position as well. Add this in with the fact that Fields loves to target his tight ends, and you have a recipe for a late-round sleeper who could legitimately produce in a fantasy lineup.

Justin Fields, QB

Although Justin Fields has never been a top-tier quarterback to this point in his career, he has been a top-tier fantasy quarterback. Fields has also never had an offensive line as talented as the one he has in front of him in New York this season, which should help out with designed rushes. Speaking of designed rushes, there should be plenty with the talent Fields has as a runner, and finally, the possibility of having a competent play-caller in his ear. If Fields can continue to develop as a passer, he becomes a legitimate first option as a fantasy quarterback.

Garrett Wilson, WR

Garrett Wilson has started his career with three straight 1,000-yard seasons and has given fans no reason to believe he won’t continue the trend. Going into a contract year, Wilson has extra motivation to be great. On top of this, his quarterback from his college days is now his starting quarterback in the pros. Having Fields throw him the ball again could unlock something in both of them, and if it does, Wilson will be among the top receivers in fantasy this year.

Breece Hall, RB

Fourth-year running back Breece Hall will most likely be the highest-producing fantasy player on the Jets in 2025. Running backs tend to be the most valuable players in fantasy due to their high touch rates, and this, mixed with the caliber of player that Hall is, should put him near the top of the fantasy scorers in the league this coming season. With the new coaching staff coming in, this offense is set to be a run-heavy unit, obviously benefiting Hall’s value. Another less-talked-about part of this offense will be how Hall is used as a pass-catcher. He was inexplicably left out of this part of the game in Nathaniel Hackett’s offense, and if early signs in camp are anything to go by, he should be getting back in the role of a dual-threat back this year.
