Which Title Should ‘Zero Miedo’ Cash in His 2026 Money in the Bank Briefcase On?

WWE

Money in the Bank 2026 was full of surprises, insane moments, and questionable booking decisions. One of the most well-received moments came in the main event, where Pénta outlasted five other superstars to climb the ladder and retrieve the briefcase. From challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship in Mexico to becoming Mr. Money in the Bank, ‘Zero Miedo’ has lived quite an interesting month. Now with a guaranteed world title opportunity, fans will have to wait and see when he decides to cash in his briefcase. Should Penta cash in on the Undisputed WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship?

Pénta has already made a name for himself on Raw since arriving at WWE in January 2025. He debuted against Chad Gable in a winning effort and proceeded to make his WrestleMania debut just a few months later in Las Vegas in a Fatal Four-Way match for the Intercontinental Championship. From there, Pénta proved he was destined for greatness. He would capture his first title on the main roster after winning the Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio in March 2026. He successfully defended his title in a Ladder Match at WrestleMania 42 and continued defending the title until he lost it to Gable at SummerSlam 2026. The masked maestro would then compete in his biggest challenge yet when he wrestled Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in Mexico City. He would come up short but showed the world that he was main event material.

Now with the Money in the Bank contract, Pénta could once again go after the man that pinned him in his home country and take the World Heavyweight Championship. Ever since winning the title at WrestleMania 42, Reigns has sought to prove that he can win without the help of his family, and he’s proven that ever since. He would be a tough competitor to challenge, even if Pénta decided to cash in unexpectedly, as the Bloodline could play a role in Reigns keeping the belt at all costs. Defeating the ‘OTC’ will be a challenge, but the former AEW standout cashing in and taking the title would rewrite the wrong that occurred in Mexico City.

On the other side is SmackDown and the Undisputed WWE Championship. Unlike Raw and the world title, it is complete chaos on the blue brand. The current champion, Sami Zayn, has created a vortex of multiple challengers gunning for his title. Kevin Owens, CM Punk, and Finn Bálor are some of the competitors going after the Undisputed WWE title, and with the ways Zayn has made enemies in the locker room, it wouldn’t be surprising if he ended up with more than 10 superstars waiting for an opportunity at the gold. Pénta could use that distraction to cash in unsuspectingly, but that would mean he would be an immediate target to most of the SmackDown locker room. The Cero Miedo icon isn’t afraid of a fight, but he should know the consequences of cashing in on SmackDown’s top title.

Overall, the road does not look easy when it comes to Pénta cashing in his briefcase, but lucky for him, he has a year to figure that out. Pénta could remain on Raw and defeat the man who stopped him in Mexico City, or he could head to SmackDown where the phrase ‘land of opportunity’ is not just a promise, but a true statement. Whatever he decides to do, he’ll have earned it, as ‘Zero Miedo’ has proven throughout his main roster run that he is world champion material. Both top champions better watch their backs, because Pénta will cash in that briefcase when they least expect it.
