Who Are the Three Early Favorites to Win the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2026?
Money in the Bank 2026 is still over a month away, but the choices on who could walk out with the briefcase have begun to take shape. Every wrestler who competes in this match stipulation knows what’s at stake: an opportunity at a world title at any time over the course of one year. With the main event scene of each world title seemingly stacked on each brand, it may come down to up-and-coming superstars trying to win the briefcase, although some who are already in the main event scene might have a go at it. We’ve already covered who could win the 2026 Women’s Money in the Bank match; now we will see who the three favorites are who could walk away with the contract on the men’s side.
Solo Sikoa
Solo Sikoa has been on a roll in 2026, transforming from a cocky heel into one of the most entertaining acts on WWE television. Before he truly started to feel like a babyface, his hilarious antics and mic skills won the crowd over, showing off a new side of him fans didn’t get to see when he first made his way onto the main roster as an enforcer for The Bloodline. Now that he has fully separated himself from The Bloodline and from the MFTs, he’s attempted to make a path for himself, but The Bloodline have made it their mission to get him back into the family. Although L.A. Knight has been heavily pushed as a future contender to Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship, the 33-year-old being the one to win the briefcase and cash it on the ‘OTC’ makes perfect sense. Sikoa and Reigns faced off multiple times in 2024, including a match on the first episode of Raw on Netflix in 2025 to determine who truly was the Tribal Chief. The ‘OTC’ won the match and reclaimed the Ula Fala, forcing Sikoa to step away from the family. The California native holding on to the briefcase and earning a future world title opportunity on his former friend would be the perfect revenge story, which is why he can be one of the favorites to win the match.
L.A. Knight
For years, Knight has been a victim of the Bloodline’s antics, as they have prevented him from capturing the world title on multiple occasions. During the match between the 43-year-old and Reigns at Crown Jewel 2023, just when it looked like ‘The Megastar’ had the match won, Jimmy Uso interfered and prevented his cousin from losing the world title. Reigns went on to retain the belt. Knight has never forgotten that night and has since made it his mission to wipe out any Bloodline members that are a part of the company. He seemed very happy when The Usos separated from Reigns but warned them to be cautious, as reuniting with the ‘OTC’ meant that they would become enemies once again. After winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 against CM Punk, The Usos would realign with the ‘OTC’, a move that didn’t sit well with the Maryland native. Over the next few months, he has attempted to put a stop to the Bloodline, but has fallen to them on multiple occasions. Even though he seems like a clear favorite to be the next challenger to Reigns’ title, Knight winning the Money in the Bank contract could make it a lot easier for him to dethrone the ‘OTC’, especially if he’s able to cash in on Reigns when he is most vulnerable.
Trick Williams
Although he’s currently in a feud with Baron Corbin over the United States Championship, Trick Williams’ time in the midcard scene may not last much longer. He might have started as a companion to Carmelo Hayes when he first started in NXT, but he quickly grew into one of the hottest acts on television. Williams captured multiple titles during his NXT run and proved that he can adjust to any role given to him, whether it’s face or heel. He has a catchy theme song with one of the most recognizable catchphrases: Whoop That Trick. When the 32-year-old arrived on the main roster, he was instantly viewed as a top star and went on to win the United States Championship. Now that the title might be out of his grasp, it’s time for him to move on to bigger and greater things. The current state of the main event scene on SmackDown is full of top stars wanting to capture what Punk is currently holding: the Undisputed WWE Championship. ‘The Best in the World’ has multiple challengers targeting him for a shot at the title. Williams could throw his name into the mix, but what better way to jump the line than to win the Money in the Bank contract, a briefcase that has pushed many midcard competitors onto the top of the mountain. The South Carolina native is one of the perfect choices to win the contract and cash it in on an unsuspecting Punk.
