Who Comes Out on Top During the First Week of NXT Revenge 2026?
The follow-up episode of NXT after the biggest show of the year, Stand & Deliver, showcased general manager Robert Stone announced that Tuesday, April 14th, would be the start of a two-week event called NXT Revenge. The first week of this event has two championship matches, a semifinal match for the WWE Speed Championship, a match between two superstars who have no respect for one another, and former NXT Champion Joe Hendry, in concert. While another match or two may be announced while the show is taking place, it’s tough to tell what that could be after the fallout from Stand & Deliver. Can both the new NXT Champion and NXT Women’s Champion defend their titles and show this new reign in NXT isn’t a fluke?
WWE Men’s Speed Championship Semifinals Tournament Match
This past Tuesday, we saw Lexis King defeat Chazz ‘Starboy’ Hall to advance to the finals of the tournament for the vacant Speed Championship. In the other semifinal match, we have E.K. Prosper, who underwent a name change in the past few weeks, facing Dorian Van Dux. Even before former Speed Champion Elio Lefleur relinquished his championship due to injury, Prosper has always been in the conversation to defeat Lafleur and become the next champion. Yet, this is the first time the NXT Universe will see Van Dux perform as a member of the brand. He’s been featured on Evolve and AAA, but now the NXT fanbase might be seeing him on a more recent basis. While a loss could set up a potential storyline for Prosper, it should 100% be another high-flyer just like him that holds the Speed gold. Van Dux would be an interesting choice to pick, but then again, the NXT Universe doesn’t know much about him to say he can easily beat his semifinal opponent.
Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan
On the March 31st episode of NXT, Jaida Parker defeated Kelani Jordan. However, that did not mean their beef was going to disappear that quickly. Yet, this match at NXT Revenge should be the last one between the two, to let both superstars explore different feuds and opportunities. Depending on who NXT wants to push, either one of them could take that helm. Both have the charisma, attitude, and flair that could elevate either to the next level. While it should be Parker who wins the feud, Jordan has also earned her keep to be pushed these past few years with her unbelievable athleticism, changing from being a babyface to a heel this past year, and continuing to wow the NXT Universe.
NXT Women’s Championship Match
Next week, newly crowned NXT Women’s Champion, Lola Vice, will take on the former champion Jacy Jayne. While no one is expecting Vice to lose the title so quickly, Fatal Influence is still in the corner of Jayne. With Fallon Henley losing the WWE Women’s Speed Championship and Jayne looking for revenge against Vice, this stable is hungry to get back the gold. We have to wonder when this feud ends, if the former NXT Women’s Champion or even Fatal Influence as a whole gets pushed to the main roster? Does Jayne get kicked out of her own group, so she can move up to Raw or SmackDown? These must be things to consider looking past this match.
NXT Championship Match
Just like Tony D’Angelo, no one is expecting him to lose the title he’s waited years to earn so quickly. D’Angelo will face ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page, who was also part of the Fatal Four-way Match at Stand & Deliver. Just like Jayne, a potential loss here could set up the former NXT Champion and North American Champion’s move up to the main roster. After leaving AEW for WWE, Page has been in NXT for nearly two years. He’s paid his dues, and it’s time for him to collide with main roster talent. D’Angelo should win, and we should see new feuds for the new champ.
