Who Comes Out on Top in the Six-Woman Tag Match at Sunday Night's Main Event 2026?
During the August 28th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the fourth and presumably the last match for Sunday Night’s Main Event has been announced. A Six-Woman Tag Match is scheduled for the event with the team of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and the newly called-up Tatum Paxley against Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab. For months now, ‘The Storm’ and The Baddies have feuded with Flair and Bliss, and now The Twisted Queens have someone on their side who can even up the odds. In the past episode of SmackDown, Paxley was able to win in her main roster debut against Michin, gaining more trust from Flair, who was uncomfortable about having the former NXT Women’s Champion on her side when Bliss introduced one another. Both trios will now be tested headed into Sunday Night’s Main Event.
Back on March 20th, Cargill formed her alliance with Michin and B-Fab after it seemed like the former WWE Women’s Champion was bullying and beating down both of them. At WrestleMania 42, ‘The Storm’ lost her title to Rhea Ripley, and then at Clash in Italy, the former WWE Women’s Champion lost to Ripley again due to interference from Flair. Then on June 19th, Flair was set to face Liv Morgan in the 2026 Queen of the Ring Semifinals. Before the match even began, the 14-time World Champion was attacked by Cargill and The Baddies. Even though she fought tremendously, Flair had to tap out to Morgan. However, the former WWE Women’s Champion had an opportunity to face Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s United States Championship at Night of Champions, only for ‘The Storm’ to lose due to interference from Chelsea Green and Flair.
About a month later, Bliss faced the former WWE Women’s Champion on SmackDown. Cargill won and launched a brutal beatdown on the five-time World Champion. This vicious attack put Bliss out of action for several weeks. Heading into SummerSlam, both ‘The Storm’ and the 16-time World Champion caused havoc in one another’s Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match. This allowed both women to enter the match, and during SummerSlam, both these women showed their hatred for one another within that Ladder Match, so much so that it cost both Cargill and Flair the Interim WWE Women’s Championship.
Paxley will be the difference-maker in this Six-Woman Tag Match as this is her moment to showcase her skills and captivate the main roster audience. She’ll hope that a win would allow her friendship with Bliss and especially Flair to blossom more. However, the three of them will need to stop the pure power of ‘The Storm’, which will be extremely difficult to do. Look for both Flair and Cargill’s feud to continue to climax during this matchup.
I would assume the trio of Flair, Bliss, and Paxley will win this match. Having the former NXT Women’s Champion showcase herself in a way will make her a major player in the storyline between the 16-time and five-time World Champions. If Cargill and The Baddies win, it should solely be because of ‘The Storm’s’ strength and dominance. It will be interesting to see if Flair and Cargill’s feud continues past this premium live event or if it will trickle into Money in the Bank or Crown Jewel.
