Who Else Will Join the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame Class?

WWE

The WWE Universe was given a pleasant surprise at WrestlePalooza when The Undertaker made a shock appearance to announce that Stephane McMahon would be the first inductee into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class. Although WrestleMania is more than half a year away, it’s great to see that WWE has decided to acknowledge those who have left a lasting impact within the company early. As we expect more WWE Hall of Fame inductees to be announced as the months go by, the question remains as to which other legendary superstars and individuals deserve to have their names rightfully inducted along with McMahon’s in 2026. Here are a few WWE talents that might be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class.

John Cena

There is no doubt that John Cena has had a career more than worthy of a Hall of Fame induction. The 17-time world champion first made his WWE appearance in 2002 and has grown into a household name for over 20 years. His accomplishments speak for themselves: two-time Royal Rumble winner, Money in the Bank winner, a six-time WrestleMania main eventer, and the list goes on and on. The “Never Seen 17” has been the face of the company for a majority of his career, and even when the fans slowly turned on him, he stepped up for the company whenever they needed him to. When Cena concludes his farewell tour at the end of 2025, there is no doubt that Cena will end up on the Mount Rushmore of the greatest WWE superstars and etch his name into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Hardy Boyz

When WWE fans think of the Attitude Era, the Hardy Boyz are certainly the first team that comes to mind. The two young men from North Carolina made a name for themselves by revolutionizing what it meant to be hardcore during one of the most important times in the company’s history. The Hardyz shaped what it meant to compete in a TLC match. Their legendary encounters against the likes of the Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian made them premier talents and elevated them to new heights. Both men succeeded in their tag team stints as they captured the tag team titles multiple times, and as for singles glory, both men did well for themselves, as Matt Hardy captured the ECW Championship, while Jeff Hardy became the top name of the company when he captured the WWE Championship in late 2008. The Hardy Boyz deserve to take their rightful place alongside all the other tag teams that came before them, who accomplished great things in WWE.

Michael Cole

From Gorilla Monsoon to Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler, WWE commentators have made it their work to display the emotions and energy of what is happening in the ring while also suspending our belief for a short period of time. One of the most underrated commentators WWE has ever had is Michael Cole. From starting as a backstage interviewer to working behind the desk in front of thousands in attendance, his voice is always heard in many homes. Although Cole has had his fair share of awkward catchphrases, he has been the most consistent commentator WWE has ever had, rarely missing any episodes to bring joy into households. Cole’s improvement over the years has been enjoyable, and it’s impossible to imagine listening to an episode of RAW or SmackDown without hearing his voice. Cole’s legacy will go down in history as one of the most important commentators in WWE history.

Mötorhead

Many celebrities have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame due to their contributions to the business, but if there’s a group of people that deserve to be inducted, it’s Mötorhead. The legendary rock band led by Lemmy Kilmister has made a name for itself in the music industry, including their song titled “Ace of Spades,” which is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock songs of all time. Mötorhead’s relationship with Triple H helped secure the WWE some of the most recognizable theme songs in company history, including Triple H’s “The Game” and Evolution’s “Line in the Sand.” Mötorhead also made a special appearance when they performed Triple H’s theme at WrestleMania X-Seven and WrestleMania 21. As many fans still enjoy listening to Mötorhead’s greatest hits, it’s only fitting that their contributions are also remembered forever.

Oscar Martines

Oscar is a Journalism major at Cal State Long Beach. He’s an avid fan of wrestling and soccer and enjoys attending live events whenever he can.
