At 38 years old, Lionel Messi continues to do what most players can only dream of: dominate games with intelligence, technique, and unmatched vision. While now playing for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, Messi’s performances are anything but retirement-level. His influence on the pitch remains enormous, from threading impossible passes to scoring inch-perfect free kicks. He remains one of the world’s most impactful players, and the idea that he could not compete in Europe or other top leagues does not stand up to the evidence.

His presence alone raises the level of those around him, which is why he could step into almost any team today and make a difference.
