Why ‘The Rockstar’ Should Win the 2026 Women’s Money in the Bank Match
During the Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match on the September 18th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Jade Cargill would hit Alexa Bliss with her finisher, Jaded. Going for the pin on Bliss, Cargill would be kicked in the head by ‘The Rockstar’ Jacy Jayne, which would send the former WWE Women’s Champion out of the ring, allowing Jayne to pick up the bones, pin Bliss for the win, and qualify for the 2026 Women’s Money in the Bank Match. ‘The Rockstar’ currently holds the WWE Women’s United States Championship, while her stablemates, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions; however, that’s not stopping the former two-time NXT Women’s Champion and Fatal Influence from wanting to hold all the gold on SmackDown. Since being called up to Friday Night SmackDown just a few months ago, Fatal Influence has risen to the top as the top heel faction on Friday nights.
Jayne was once called the most beatable champion after defeating Stephanie Vaquer for the NXT Women’s Championship, which shocked the WWE Universe. She held the title for 150 days before losing it to Tatum Paxley at NXT Halloween Havoc 2025. ‘The Rockstar’ would quickly regain the NXT Women’s Championship after Paxley held it for 24 days, when Jayne beat her at NXT Gold Rush Night One 2025. During her second reign as champion, ‘The Rockstar’ held the title for another 136 days before she lost the championship in a Triple Threat Match between Lola Vice and Kendal Grey, with Vice ultimately coming out on top.
About a week and a half later, after losing the NXT Women’s Championship for a second time, Jayne and Fatal Influence would debut on the April 24th episode of SmackDown in a huge way. Fatal Influence interrupted the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match between Bliss and Charlotte Flair against Brie Bella and Paige. Later on in the night, the former two-time NXT Women’s Champion lost to WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley by disqualification after Henley and Reid attacked Ripley. Henley and Reid would win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18th. Over a month later, on August 28th, Jayne defeated Tiffany Stratton to become the WWE Women’s United States Champion.
So why should Jayne hold the briefcase, especially in a stacked match full of young talent such as Vice, Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez, and Lash Legend? ‘The Rockstar’ has become one of the top heels in WWE this year. Ever since her shocking win over Vaquer, Jayne has been one of the best heels WWE has, and with the other women of Fatal Influence surrounding her, the group has been nearly unstoppable. Having Jayne win would show that Fatal Influence is a top faction, and a dangerous one, as they would hold nearly all the gold on SmackDown.
WWE would most likely have ‘The Rockstar’ drop the Women’s United States Championship if she were to win and then cash in on either Chelsea Green or Vaquer. With the briefcase in hand and Fatal Influence by her side, Jayne would be the most dangerous woman in WWE. This year’s Women’s Money in the Bank Match is filled with so much young talent, and either woman has a true shot at pulling down the briefcase. However, WWE should seriously consider making ‘The Rockstar’ a bigger threat to the women’s locker room.
