Why ‘The Tribal Chief’ Should Win the 2026 Royal Rumble
As soon as we know it, the 2026 Royal Rumble taking place on January 31st, 2026, will be right around the corner. This year will be the first year the Royal Rumble is going international, as we’ll see the Rumble take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While there are many possibilities in the Men’s Rumble, such as Bron Breakker or Sami Zayn, this year, I believe we will see ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns win his second Royal Rumble and challenge the champion of his choosing at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. There are a ton of reasons that point to Reigns coming out on top in next year’s Rumble, and here’s why!
First, the Saudi crowd loves Reigns; while they enjoy a ton of other superstars on the roster, there’s definitely no other star that gets the pop Roman does. Secondly, we have to point to what ‘The Tribal Chief’ said before Survivor Series: WarGames to CM Punk and Cody Rhodes. Reigns is interested in another World Championship, yet the big question still arises: who was Roman referring to? Third, Reigns is featured in WWE’s WrestleMania 42 commercial alongside Punk, Rhodes, and Brock Lesnar. This commercial, which centers on the four stars around a poker table, is supposed to signify who the big players are for this year’s WrestleMania. We know Reigns will be at WrestleMania, but how? Next, we can talk about how ‘The Tribal Chief' is one of WWE’s biggest commodities. Fans instantly react and gravitate towards Reigns as soon as his music hits; if he's scheduled for a big-time match at WrestleMania, you know fans are going to buy tickets even if they’re expensive, and households will be tuning in to see if Roman can become champion once more.
We also have to bring up the fact that Reigns is one of the biggest names ever in WWE history. Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, John Cena, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Edge, Brock Lesnar, and Charlotte Flair have all won the Rumble more than once. It’s time to add ‘The Tribal Chief’ to that list. Roman winning this year’s Rumble marks his future Hall of Fame legacy and creates interesting storylines that fans will find as must-watch.
