On September 1st, Zilla Fatu earned his first singles win in NXT after defeating Tristan Angels. Soon after, BirthRight approached him with an invitation to join their group. The following week saw Fatu decline BirthRight’s offer, declaring himself ‘The Main One’. This led to a chaotic brawl where Fatu was powerbombed through the announcer’s table. Charlie Dempsey of BirthRight claimed ‘The Main One’ would get lost in the shuffle by relying on his family lineage, such as his father, Umaga, and his family in The Bloodline.
Over a month later, ‘The Main One’ would face BirthRight’s Lexis King in a singles match. After Fatu defeated King, BirthRight swarmed ‘The Main One’ and brutally trapped his right hand between the steel steps and smashed it with a chair. This would sideline Fatu for weeks; however, he would make a surprise return during the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals, where he interfered and cost Dempsey and King the match, helping El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno advance. Fatu asked NXT general manager Robert Stone for an opportunity to face Dempsey at Halloween Havoc, with ‘The Main One’ wanting to bring back the "Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal” Match.
Ever since debuting in NXT and feuding with BirthRight, Fatu has wanted to show he’s his own person. It didn’t take anyone in his family or any nepotism to help him get to where he is. The hard work ‘The Main One’ has done is what helped him get to where he is today. This is the opposite of BirthRight, who is trying to use their nepotism to gain opportunities on NXT, such as when Uriah Connors and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo lost their Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic opportunity, King and Dempsey demanded they get a shot in the tournament as well. Dempsey, the son of William Regal; King, the son of Brian Pillman; Connors, the son of Finlay; and Arianna Grace, the daughter of Santino Marella, alongside Lorenzo, have done everything they can to gain power and establish themselves as true powerhouses in NXT.
Fatu asking to bring back the "Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal” Match is huge. On one hand, the WWE Universe will get a complete surprise when the wheel lands on a given random match. The other hand plays into a potential advantage for ‘The Main One’. Dempsey is a completely technical wrestler; a random spin of the wheel absolutely threatens whatever game plan he may have. If the wheel lands on a No Disqualification Match or a match involving any particular weapons such as a Ladder Match or TLC Match, it plays heavily into Fatu's raw, powerhouse style.
‘The Main One’ may have the advantage when it comes to the wheel selecting the match, but Dempsey and BirthRight have the numbers game. If a No Disqualification Match were to happen, BirthRight could easily insert themselves into the match, making it a three-on-one matchup, with Lorenzo being injured. This gives Dempsey a huge advantage to attack Fatu however he wants to at will. Yet, with Fatu's raw, powerhouse style, ‘The Main One’ could perhaps easily overcome the odds.
My assumption is this has to be an easy win for Fatu. ‘The Main One’ needs to get his first single’s victory on a premium live event and be established as a top star in the Men’s Division. Even with NXT trying to showcase BirthRight as a force, the group still has a way to go. King is the only member of BirthRight to hold gold and had to relinquish his title due to the WWE Speed Championship being entirely vacated. BirthRight needs to slowly take over and have good, methodical storytelling if they want to head to the top. Fatu should be able to pick up the win whether King and Connors get involved.
