Will ‘The Standout’ Retain the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc 2026?

WWE

After ‘The Standout’ Kelani Jordan defeated Kendal Grey to become the new NXT Women’s Champion at NXT Heatwave, Grey’s best friend, Wren Sinclair, has climbed her way up the mountain to become the new top contender for Jordan’s championship. Sinclair went from being suspended to sneaking into a Battle Royale, winning it, and now facing ‘The Standout’ at Halloween Havoc. Jordan protested Sinclair’s win and made it personal when she attacked Grey before the NXT Women’s Championship match contract signing. Will ‘The Standout’ retain her title, or will we see the WrenQCC take back the gold?

On the September 8th edition of NXT, Jordan successfully defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Jaida Parker. As ‘The Standout’ was celebrating in the ring, an incredibly frustrated Sinclair stormed out and blindsided Jordan, executing a fierce beatdown with forearm strikes and a kendo stick. The former WWE Women’s Speed Champion found herself suspended by NXT general manager Robert Stone after she accidentally hit referee Victoria D'Errico, who was trying to pull Sinclair off Jordan. The former WWE Women’s Speed Champion found herself in between a rock and a hard place as she wanted to return to work but could not stay on the premises.

A month later on October 6th saw a 20-woman Battle Royale to determine who will face Jordan at Halloween Havoc. Sinclair, who was dressed as Lady Shani, won the match, and because she won, her suspension was lifted. ‘The Standout’ protested the win, refused to face the former WWE Women’s Speed Champion, calling the win on October 6th “a stunt and a cheap fast pass to the top”. Jordan also stated that Sinclair lacked the courage to go into the Battle Royale as herself. October 20th saw Sinclair call out the champion, telling Jordan to stop hiding behind the championship. However, ‘The Standout’ came out dragging a severely beaten-up Grey, who then threw Grey’s face directly into the entrance stage right in front of a horrified Sinclair. The former WWE Women’s Speed Champion would immediately drop the contract and check on her best friend.

This has now become a grudge match between Jordan and Sinclair. ‘The Standout’ is ready to put Grey and Sinclair in the past. The former WWE Women’s Speed Champion was called a “sidekick” by Jordan; Sinclair will certainly be looking to prove her wrong. On the 20th, Sinclair pronounced, "The standout is going to stand down." Both women are technically sound in the ring; it will come down to who makes the first mistake.

There’s a huge possibility that Jordan loses her title at Halloween Havoc. Jordan, Grey, and Lola Vice are three women who’ve won the NXT Women’s Championship in 2026, and all three held the title for less than 100 days. Vice’s reign ended at 85 days, and Grey’s at 63. Could we see ‘The Standout’s’ reign come to an end so quickly? During the October 26th episode of Monday Night Raw, Jordan appeared on Raw talking to general manager Adam Pearce, where she was interrupted by Iyo Sky. A potential loss at Halloween Havoc could immediately send her forward to the main roster. Personally, I do not want to see Jordan’s reign come to an end so abruptly; however, if anyone is to dethrone her, it would either be Sinclair or Grey. I believe the former WWE Women’s Speed Champion can win the title at Halloween Havoc.
