With Pubill off the table, Wolves must now refocus their efforts on strengthening the back line before the window closes. José Sá remains a reliable presence in goal, but the defense in front of him still needs more depth and consistency. Agbadou has shown he can keep up with the Premier League, yet he can’t carry the load alone. If Wolves hope to avoid the defensive lapses that cost them points last season, they will need to bring in at least one more quality defender. Recruitment in this area is no longer optional; it’s essential.
