WWE Clash in Italy 2026: Who Will Come Out on Top?
WWE Clash in Italy 2026 is happening at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, this Saturday. Fans can tune in via ESPN in the United States and Netflix internationally. The card seems intriguing since all of the matches on the card have had weeks of buildup and are the highlights of the company’s storylines. Some storylines are at their fever pitch, while others aren’t that far behind. It’s the definition of quality over quantity. There are a whopping four title bouts and a feud to determine who’s the final boss of today’s WWE. Who will walk out of Clash in Italy on top
Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
This is the second match between the two behemoths. Many speculated that Brock Lesnar was actually retired after he threw the ‘X’ sign up following his defeat against Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. ‘The Beast’ and longtime manager Paul Heyman shared a bit of time in the ring. The former WWE Champion even took his gloves and boots off and left them in the center of the squared circle, a well-known retirement gesture. It was a big surprise to see Lesnar return on the May 18th episode of Monday Night Raw to deliver an F5 to ‘The Ruler’.
Lesnar hasn’t had a strong showing since the feud began between the two behemoths a couple of months ago, indicating that Lesnar is high on Femi and wants to build him up. Does Lesnar retire now, though? It looks like the old ‘Final Boss’ has some power in his character left to give to the new ‘Final Boss’. We have yet to see Femi go through adversity on the main roster. Very few people should give him issues during his wrestling career, but Lesnar is one of those few people. Another high-grade premium live event coming up is SummerSlam. It’s conveniently taking place in Minnesota, where Lesnar is from. This prediction is based solely on the prediction that Lesnar retires after SummerSlam. Should the feud last until then, it makes sense for ‘The Beast’ to get a win or equalize the feud against ‘The Ruler’. Lesnar could win dirty because it protects Femi, and it won’t hurt his own character’s image since he’s been a behemoth of a force in WWE for so long.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Sol Ruca vs. Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Sol Ruca’s main roster booking has been interesting to say the least. It was clear from her Saturday Night’s Main Event debut in December 2025 that the main roster creative team was high on her. She was booked strongly and even pinned former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley to win that match. Her showing at the 2026 Royal Rumble was quite impressive as well, being one of the final three women in the match. Since Ruca’s Raw call-up last month, however, her creative direction has been interesting. The recent NXT call-up debuted on Raw after WrestleMania, interrupting Liv Morgan’s WWE Women’s Championship celebration and getting a non-title match against her, but she lost.
Current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch interrupted her official Raw contract signing, which led to ‘The Man’ getting her soul snatched and starting a feud between the two. The recent NXT call-up then had a great match against Iyo Sky the following Raw, but she lost that match after ‘The Genius of the Sky’ countered the Sol Snatcher with a surprise roll-up. Ruca got her first win as a Raw star on last week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event against Lynch in a non-title bout, but it was via disqualification. Raw general manager Adam Pearce booked this title bout match because of last week’s outcome. It’s fair to say that Lynch is one of the greatest women wrestlers of all time. The accolades she achieved, and the hard work she had to get where she’s at now, inspired a lot of women wrestlers around the world, Ruca included. This feud just started, so it’s unlikely ‘The Man’ is going to lose the IC title now. It makes perfect sense for the bout to end in disqualification again. Lynch should find every way to get a disqualification, whether it be Ruca or herself. She has the champion's advantage, and her character would absolutely abuse that power. Be prepared for some Ruca character development arc after Clash in Italy to make her eventual championship win feel that much more impactful.
Winner: Sol Ruca via disqualification; Becky Lynch retains
Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship
This is another WrestleMania 42 rematch, but with higher implications. Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Both superstars are powerhouses known for making their opponents look weak. They have impressive strength and can throw anyone around at will. ‘The Storm’ has had B-Fab and Michin do her dirty work for the past couple of months. ‘The Erradecator’ has formed an alliance of convenience with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.
‘Little Miss Bliss’ and ‘The Queen’ have been one of the most entertaining women’s tag teams since their inception as ‘allies of convenience’. B-Fab and Michin haven’t done much as a tag team and haven’t had much success since teaming up with the former WWE Women’s Champion. The reason they wanted to team with Cargill in the first place was to be closer to the WWE Women’s Championship. They were tired of waiting for their opportunities and turned heel on Ripley leading up to WrestleMania 42. Distractions, interference, and confusion are bound to be a part of the match, but expect it to backfire on Cargill. Ripley is one of WWE’s top superstars, and she deserves a lengthy title reign. The current Women’s Champion could win with the help of Bliss and Flair, which could lead to a potential feud between those three. WWE could slowly tease that storyline during this match.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
Gunther vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship
You know an event is absolutely stacked when a WWE Championship match isn’t the main event of a PLE. Current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to defend his belt once again against former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. ‘The Ring General’ surprised the WWE universe a couple of months ago when he made a surprise return and attacked Seth Rollins, who was about to give some permanent damage to his former oracle. Gunther and Rollins had a brief feud going into WrestleMania 42, where the former won with some outside help, as a returning Bron Breakker speared his former mentor in half. Gunther kept demanding that ‘The American Nightmare’ be more gentlemanly and formally offer a title shot to him.
‘The Ring General’ started making more demands, almost losing his chance at the title because he didn’t want to sign the contract right away. Sami Zayn and Rhodes had a falling out backstage last week on SmackDown, prompting SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis to book a match between the two. ‘The American Nightmare’ would go on to win the match, but ‘The Ring General’ surprised the two and started choking out his Clash in Italy opponent. The former Intercontinental Champion ultimately turned his back on Rhodes to end SmackDown, solidifying his heel persona. It’s more than likely that Zayn will be involved in this match somehow. He could try to screw his former friend over, but it should backfire this coming weekend. This feud deserves a months-long feud. Gunther should take the belt off the current WWE Champion eventually to start Rhodes’ next storyline. Gunther’s quest to become the Undisputed WWE Champion is imminent, but it’s going to have to wait for another day.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Jacob Fatu vs. Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Tribal Combat has only happened twice in WWE history. Sure, it’s essentially a No Holds Barred Match with no countouts, disqualifications, and the only way to win is via pinfall or submission, but this bout determines who’s the Tribal Chief of the Anoa’i family. Roman Reigns is the only person to be in both matches. He’s won both times, and he’s about to enter his third round of it. The first time it was introduced was at SummerSlam back in 2023, where the ‘OTC’ was challenged by Jey Uso, who was close to becoming Tribal Chief, but his brother, Jimmy Uso, turned on him and attacked him in the middle of the match.
The second time occurred on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix against his former enforcer, Solo Sikoa. This time around, standing across from him is his younger cousin, Jacob Fatu. ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ is being portrayed as the outcast of the family due to his past troubles and his unpredictable nature. Fatu is a former United States Champion. He has fought for the highest gold in the past and has pushed champions like current WWE Champion Rhodes to the absolute limit, but he has yet to capture the prestigious gold.
The former U.S. Champion took his older cousin to the limit in their last bout at Backlash earlier this month. His refusal to acknowledge the Tribal Chief has rubbed Reigns the wrong way. Fatu is desperate to have everything that his older cousin has so he can provide for his family. Reigns is concerned that his younger cousin isn’t ready for the pressure and is too unpredictable to be the face of the WWE. There’s no denying Fatu’s mic skills, charisma, and connection with the fans. He’s arguably a better wrestler than his older cousin; Reigns isn’t a slouch in the ring and is a powerhouse who can move, but Fatu can get away with doing more high-flying maneuvers and has extensive wrestling experience in different countries that he’s been able to adopt into his moveset.
‘The Samoan Werewolf’ will be a World Champion one day. WWE would drop the ball big time if they didn’t give Fatu one of the top two belts. Hardcore wrestling fans, like myself, want Fatu to dethrone his older cousin for the belt. It’s Reigns, though. He’s been the face of WWE for the past decade, and it seems like this is one of his last extensive runs with the company. He’s a part-timer because of his Hollywood interests, but that’s what makes him more likely to walk out of Clash in Italy as the World Heavyweight Champion. A lot of fans would be very happy if this prediction were wrong.
Winner: Roman Reigns
