Are the Seahawks Losing Their Safety Options This Late into the Season?

NFL

As we get down to the last five games of the 2025 season, we are still seeing multiple Seahawks going down with injury after injury as they pile on top of each other. Seattle just cannot catch a break, losing at least one person a week to an injury. Some are more severe than others, listed this week, with a few players out on rest as well. For this week’s report, I am going to talk about the two listed injuries and the injury-riddled safety position on Seattle’s roster as of Wednesday’s practice. Now let’s get into the report itself for tonight, shall we?

First up, we have Julian Love, who has a hamstring injury as of Wednesday’s practice. He’s been playing for Seattle since 2023 after starting his career with the New York Giants back in 2019. He has missed nine of the 12 games that Seattle has played thus far. That is not really a good sign, considering his hamstring injury that occurred during Week Two and the fact that he hasn’t made a full bounce back from it. Though now with limited participation in the most recent practice that happened Wednesday night. This means that maybe he has a chance to have more participation to help the rest of the team close out the season, for sure.

The other safety player that is on the injury list this week is Ty Okada. He has been with Seattle since the 2023 season. He is out with an oblique injury and has been in last week’s report as well. It is still at this time unspecified whether or not he will be able to play in the five remaining games of the season. Including this weekend’s upcoming game against the Falcons in Atlanta. Hopefully, Seattle will be able to keep that squashing streak that they had against Minnesota last weekend. As of now, Seattle is down two of the five total safety players that they have on their roster this season. Not a good sign at all, coming down to the wire. Will Seattle be able to pick up the pace with their remaining safeties they have on hand, or will things crumble underneath their feet as the season reaches its rapid conclusion? We will soon find out a part of that in Atlanta this weekend.
