Can the Seahawks Win with Three Key Players Warming the Bench in Week 13?

NFL

In all honesty, Seattle has had a lot of ups and downs this season. Some games have not been without their ugly warts. Especially when it comes to injuries, some of them have been star players. Others have been rookies and/or reserve players, with space for replacements during their season-long leave of absence. Depending on whether or not said injured players need to be out for the season, or just with very limited participation, as the season itself comes down to the wire, with fewer and fewer weeks left. For this week, we have a trio of new faces added to the report that I am going to talk about.

The first player that I am going to talk about is George Holani. He is a running back for Seattle’s current roster. Even though he is down and out with a hamstring injury as of this week’s practice. So the status of his playing on Sunday is vastly unknown, no matter how long his recovery time is. He did not participate in this week’s most recent practice, unfortunately. Next up is Uchenna Nwosu, who is a linebacker for Seattle. He is out with an ankle injury at this time, and he also did not participate in the most recent practice as of today. Finally, our third player, who had no participation at all, is Ty Okada. A safety position for the team, and he is out with an oblique injury at this time. There is a sense of wonder whether or not these three players, along with the rest of the injured team members, will have time to shine in the few remaining weeks of the season.

Hopefully the home field advantage that Seattle has this weekend. Maybe they'll be able to pick up the slack without these players in their possession. Maybe there’d be some possible substitutions for the upcoming game that could fill the gaps left by these players warming the bench. Fans like me hope that the team can keep up the good luck magic that it’s had to be able to play this well this season. Not that they aren’t allowed to improve at all, as long as they are able to pick up the slack. Though I just hope that the energy that they’ve had so far can be well kept in a bottle, saved for the perfect moment to have more victories in their grasp.
