Can Seattle Find a Solution to Replace a Majority of Their Injured Wide Receivers in Week 10?

NFL

Going into Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season, Seattle has had some time to try and get a handle on how they’d make up for benched players due to injuries. Now, with at least four of their wide receivers potentially off the field for the week. That is a majority of one position alone for the team, definitely not one of the best things the team has going for right now. Thankfully, some of the other players who were in last week’s report have either healed or were in no unsustainable condition to play from then on. But now there are fewer stars that can shine out there, depending on whether they warm the bench for more than a week.

Wide receivers Jake Bobo, Tory Horton, Cooper Kupp, and Dareke Young are just four of the 10 total listed players for this week’s report. Each of them did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Therefore, it is unspecified whether they will or will not play against Arizona on Sunday. Horton had made two complete touchdowns last Sunday, but that meant that it would be the first multi-scoring game that he would have in his career as a Seahawk. Though his injury could affect that piece of his stat record for the upcoming games. Cooper Kupp has been on the bench previous to last Sunday’s game, so it’s a possibility that he may be out for the majority of what is left of the season. Dareke Young has also been inactive since Week Seven, so with only three wide receivers with full participation still, the window for finding replacements shall hopefully open, even if it may be a bit slim.

For rookies like Horton and Young, injuries like these could end their first seasons in the NFL. As of now, their status is still up in the air, though no matter what, it’ll have an impact on the early years of their career, big or small. Despite Horton himself recovering from previous injuries before the season began, this one could have less of a quick turnaround for him getting off the bench. Same with Young, having sustained a hamstring injury in 2025 and now a quad injury this season, hopefully, he can recover quickly from this and get back out on the field. Much like players such as Sam Darnold, who, while not listed in this week's report,  had a minor chest injury during Week Nine, and then was able to play and help Seattle get a shutdown victory over the Commanders. So, possibly speedy recoveries for other members of the team are in the cards this season.

Injury setbacks like these don’t exactly have unlimited time to be fixed, especially because we are at the halfway point of the season already. So, time is running out; the longer Seattle doesn’t pay attention to setbacks like these, losing more opportunities to fix these mistakes. On top of trying to keep up the winning streak energy that Seattle has going for the last five games. Though as more setbacks pile up, the chances of making it to the playoffs get slimmer over time. We will have to wait and see what Seattle has up its sleeve to take on the Cardinals on November 9th. Can they find the perfect solution in place to fix their big, wide receiving injury hole? It seems that is the question now on the fans’ minds.
