Can the Chiefs Overcome Their Run Game Struggles Heading into Week Four?
While the Chiefs definitely have become more confident with their recent win last week, there is no doubt that they still have some things to work on. The main one is the run game. A huge part of successful teams is a developed and established run game. That is something that can benefit any football team. Especially against a Ravens team that is so well-rounded and talented, even though their record does not reflect it that well so far this season. That is something that could majorly help the Chiefs not only this week but for the future as well, obviously.
When it comes to a well-rounded offense, a solid run game can never hurt. A key to a lot of the Chiefs’ success throughout the Patrick Mahomes era has been a well-established offense with a reliable run game that the Chiefs can count on consistently. This is something that would massively help the Chiefs if they can make it work. Isiah Pacheco has shown glimpses of what he is capable of accomplishing in the NFL, but we have not seen him thrive like that for a long time. He should definitely be showcasing more of his athletic abilities on the football field, because we know how good he can be when confident and playing well. This would be a huge boost for the Chiefs if he can start playing better.
As a whole, this game is crucial for both teams. An AFC matchup for the ages. The Chiefs and Ravens have had a series of great games against each other, and they have a great rivalry forming with both of their young star QBs. Both teams are trying to get back to a .500 record-wise and get to 2-2, but it will be fun to watch how the game plays out. With a lot up in the air, the Chiefs’ run game is very important and will be make-or-break when it comes down to who will end up getting the victory. I am excited to see how the Chiefs can perform against the very talented Ravens, but it will be a challenging game for sure.
