Can the Seahawks Keep Their Momentum and Coast to the Playoffs?
As the season is coming closer to its inevitable conclusion, there is one question on a lot of Seattle fans’ minds as of now. Is there still a chance that the team can even make it to the Super Bowl this season? It’s not just one factor that comes into play here, for sure. It mainly comes down to a lot of factors that just snowball upon each other when it comes to working as a team. It takes a lot of effort from all parties, whether it’s the offense, defense, coaches, or everyone else involved as well. Playing in the NFL comes down to solving one big puzzle to earn victories.
As for how Seattle has gotten to this point, it isn’t just about luck. it’s about how good the Seahawks have played as a team, and how good communication can be from week to week. A loss for the Seahawks does not mean that they won’t see a victory in the future. Despite Seattle losing some of their safeties, the defense will always be trying to keep up its momentum, picking up the slack and trying not to fall behind. Though going into Week 15 against the Colts, they might have a leg up with two Colts defensive linemen out for injuries at this time, and QB Daniel Jones out for the season.
Maybe Seattle could get another dominant game as they did with the Falcons last week and the Vikings just the week before that. Could Seattle continue to dominate as much as they possibly can in the little time that they have left? That is much to be desired, depending on how the turnout is this weekend against Indianapolis at home. As of now, Seattle has higher odds of winning the game at 89% compared to Indianapolis at 11% online. Despite their season record being not that far apart from Seattle this season, these are not good odds for Indianapolis, who has dropped three in a row and will be without their starting QB for the remainder of the season.
I have hope that Sam Darnold can channel the All-Pro quarterback energy and the backbone that he has had for the team this season. Combined with the rest of the star-studded roster that the team has at the moment, which has carried them this far. This includes the young potential record breaker himself, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. If JSN can get more participation in these remaining four games this season, Seattle just might be able to coast over the NFC in the playoffs with all of the good luck and passionate team-working energy.
