Five NXT Wrestlers Who Will Main Event WrestleMania One Day
NXT is home to some of the most talented wrestlers in the world, with many workers more than ready to get called up to the main roster. With that said, it’s clear that some fit what WWE is looking for much more than others. There have been many instances of wrestlers getting called up and then slowly losing screen time while falling down the card. However, on the other hand, NXT stars go on to become some of the biggest names in the WWE, and some even get the honor of main eventing WrestleMania. Out of the crop of talent in NXT right now, which of them will end up getting that honor one day?
Je’Von Evans
At just 21 years of age, Je’von Evans is already one of the biggest stars on the NXT roster. He recently main-evented NXT Stand & Deliver, and although it was in a losing effort, he became the youngest wrestler ever to main-event a WWE PLE. His high-flying ability has already turned him into one of the most exciting wrestlers on WWE’s roster, and he can also cut captivating promos. Evans is already a huge star with the young NXT audience and will continue to be vital for the WWE if they want to increase their late teen and young adult demographic. Considering how young he is, along with the talent he already has, the Young OG is a lock to main event WrestleMania.
Stephanie Vaquer
No woman has main-evented a WrestleMania since 2021, and only two women’s matches have gotten the honor of doing so. That was Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35, and Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37. However, Stephanie Vaquer has been showcased as WWE’s next real star in the women’s division, and she is already extremely over with the casual audience. Vaquer is the current NXT Women’s Champion, and also became the first ever double-champ among NXT women. Given how much she is already being exposed to the WWE’s main roster audience, she could very well become the next woman to main event WrestleMania.
Ricky Saints
Ricky Saints is exactly what the WWE is looking for when it comes to charisma and marketability. He shares the same mannerisms as The Rock and is arguably the best promo in the entire company. It’s clear that there is money to be made with the former AEW World Tag Team Champion, and his time is going to come soon, as he is more than ready for the main roster. Saints will certainly find himself main eventing WrestleMania one day, and will also likely be a multi-time world champion.
Trick Williams
Similar to Ricky Saints, Trick Williams is simply a charisma magnet. His mic ability gets fans engaged to the highest level, and although his in-ring work is not completely there, people care to see his matches. His ‘Whoop That Trick’ chants have already gone viral and are mainstream with the casual audience, even though he has made limited appearances on Raw or SmackDown. Williams has star written all over him, and that will result in at least one WrestleMania main event.
Oba Femi
Oba Femi has often been compared to Brock Lesnar, as the two share similarities in build and moveset. Standing at six feet six inches and weighing 310 pounds, Femi is going to be WWE’s big monster. He is the current NXT Champion and has been on a dominant reign that started in January. Femi is undoubtedly going to main event multiple WrestleManias and is set to be WWE’s next ‘Next Big Thing’.
