Former Texas A&M Aggie WR Heads to the Cleveland Browns with the 24th Pick in the 2026 NFL Draft

Joining ninth-overall pick Spencer Fano, former Texas A&M Aggie KC Concepcion is headed to Cleveland. General manager Andrew Berry and the Browns added the 21-year-old speedster with the 24th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, completing the package Cleveland received in their trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars from last year's draft. The Browns desperately needed to add to their practically empty wide receiver room, and Concepcion provides explosiveness and punt-returning skills to Cleveland’s roster. In 2025, Concepcion caught 61 passes for 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. As the Aggies primary punt returner, Concepcion fielded 25 kicks for 456 yards and a pair of scores, with a dazzling kick-return against the LSU Tigers last October.

Starting his career with the North Carolina State Wolfpack, Concepcion hauled 71 passes for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns, en route to being named a freshman All-American and the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2023. In his sophomore year, his stats saw a decline, but Concepcion still led the Wolfpack in receptions and touchdown receptions. For his final year in college, the New York-native went down south to the SEC to join the Aggies. What followed was a tremendous junior season, in which Concepcion was named a first-team All-American as an all-purpose player, and was selected as a first-time All-SEC as a wide receiver.

The number one trait that sticks out about Concepcion is his acceleration off the line,  as the first 15 yards off the line belong to him. Press coverage is generally ineffective against him, as most cornerbacks aren’t quick enough to lock down the shifty Concepcion. As to why he was drafted over other available wide receivers like Denzel Boston, Cleveland likely valued Concepcion’s tremendous special teams skill, as that was another issue for the Browns outside of the wide receiver room. Concepcion does not possess many weaknesses, but he has a propensity to drop a few passes and is not a strong run blocker at this point in his career. Value can be found at several points in the draft, but Berry and the Browns must be elated that they found their best tackle prospect with the ninth pick, and the best wide receiver available in Concepcion with the 24th pick.
