Is ‘The Visionary’ the Favorite to Win Money in the Bank?

WWE

During the May 26th episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE fans witnessed the full strength of Seth Rollins’ newest faction, featuring the likes of Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Big Bronson Reed. It was revealed at Saturday Night’s Main Event that Reed was the newest member of this already dominant group. Seth Rollins received a pop from the Tampa Bay crowd when his music played, then proceeded to shout obscenities at him. Yet, when ‘The Visionary’ addressed the WWE Universe and told them he was going to win at WrestleMania XLI, he did, when he told this Tampa crowd he was going to win his Money in the Bank qualifying match against Sami Zayn and Finn Bálor, ‘The Revolutionary’ did. During the main event, Breakker and Reed took care of Zayn, while Dominik Mysterio tried to help his Judgement Day stablemate Bálor by sliding a steel chair into the ring, yet Rollins would stomp Bálor on the chair and pin him for the win. With the win and two spots remaining, Rollins joins Pénta, Solo Sikoa, and LA Knight for the men’s Money in the Bank match. With his new dominant faction alongside him, is ‘The Visionary’ the favorite to win Money in the Bank?

I believe that many thought that Knight would be the favorite to win the briefcase because the event is being held in Los Angeles. Knight has competed in the Money in the Bank ladder match a few times now, and fans feel like it’s his time to win, giving him the well-needed push many have wanted to see. Some felt Sikoa should win, as it would increase the curiosity between him and the other Bloodline members, like Jacob Fatu, JC Mateo, and the Tongans, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. It could also recreate Sikoa’s status within the family and within WWE. Yet, with this win during the main event of Monday Night Raw, I can’t help to feel that Seth Rollins is the favorite to win the briefcase. With the opportunity to cash in on any champion, it would really be poetic justice if Rollins were the one to defeat John Cena via cashing in. Cena has talked about ruining wrestling for all WWE fans, Rollins wants to save wrestling and protect its future, as that’s what his faction is built on, between the young, unbelievable talents in Breakker and Reed. His talk about saving WWE, bringing it to a level no one sees in the future, makes me wonder if he’ll be the guy to remove the Greatest of All-Time from his WWE title reign.

Even if Rollins’ plan is to go after the World Heavyweight Championship, it would keep the dynamic within his faction on Monday Night Raw. Would ‘The Visionary’ be the one to remove ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso from his title reign? With Uso having more enemies on Raw than he can count right now, with the likes of Cena, Logan Paul, Gunther, and this new faction, it could be only a matter of time before he drops the belt. During Uso’s first title defense, he defeated Rollins; however, with the faction completed and built, Rollins may hold a lot more power than people realize on Monday Night’s. While there are still two spots to fill for this Money in the Bank ladder match, I think it’s pretty evident that Rollins is the favorite to win the briefcase, which would be the second time in his career that he has won a Money in the Bank match, with the last being in 2014. He would cash that briefcase in at WrestleMania 31 during Brock Lesnar’s and Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
